Poor Jenny and her poor owners who no doubt will be feeling terrible. Not knowing details of the break etc, but having been though something which may be similar with Norris on foster, we just followed the vets post-op & rehab instructions to the letter during the time he was with us. His hock healed so fantastically well you can hardly tell now, so here's hoping Jenny's leg will heal just as well. Petplan are just fantastic too Love to all concerned xx

Since this page has become almost a diary , I forgot to say that last week Carrie , somehow ripped her dew claw out at 8pm , after a phone call to the emergency vets with what seemed like loads of blood everywhere , I ended up having to bandage her up with a ripped up pillowcase and some toilet roll , she looked so sad but she was fine the next morning , its very strange but she's doing very similar things to Eve and alongside Carla , its like Eve has come back to me ....twice with knobs on Theres only one thing in the world better than a greyhound ..... ..2 greyhounds

Eeek! I sadly had the news that poor Jenny broke her leg and had to undergo emergency treatment at the weekend. The family would like to say 'a big thank you to Rachael at The Ark Vets in Stratford' for what they considered to be above & beyond the call of duty in the way that she dealt with Jenny on Sunday. 'Also thanks to Andrew at WMR for his Sunday late night counselling & help'. All I can say is thank goodness for Petplan!!!!

Hi Lin, I had this message via email from her racing owner and hope it helps: Dusty was normally fed soaked food with fish, meat, tinned tomatoes and a little grated cheese. Brown bread/ cereal with milk (of course).

Yesterday I popped over to Bromsgrove to pick up Ada from her foster home as she had been offered a new home. I dropped her off yesterday afternoon but sadly today I have had to go and collect her as her new owner feels it is not going to work out. Ada is the sweetest, most beautiful girl going. She is so brave with what she has been through and is an absolute pleasure to have. She is back at our house for now and is currently fast asleep after a busy 24 hours!

Hi crackercharlie thank you soo much for your help yes bless her she has gone through big changes and she is such a darling she did have a small meal of her burns and sheaperds pie last night so that was good will give another update soon x

Hi Lin, I introduced u to Dusty on Saturday. I don't think u should worry too much about her not eating. Since she came into the kennels she'd been a bit picky about her food n not at interested in peanut butter sandwiches when all the others lap them up. In the last week she had been finishing all her afternoon meal, I think she had felt a bit more settled by then n I've been doing them burns with pilchard but also adding some rice to their dinners as well. She was a good weight when u took her so I think she is just getting used to all the changes that she's gone through in the last few weeks n I'm sure she'll have her appetite back in no time once she feels more settled. Good luck, think you've got a good girl there! X
