Ada
I’m Homed
I went to the kennels today to pick up a bag of burns. I had to go have a look around, so many kisses through the kennel bars, lovely. I saw Ada in ghe kitchen with Foxy B. She was so exited and kissy, I did worry about her leg when she jumped up the door wagging her tail like mad and giving loads of kisses. She seemed so strong on her hind legs, it was great to see her looking so good. If only I was in a better position I think I would have taken her with me. She is so cute and lovely and been through so much, but is still so happy. Love to you, you are such a special girl. Take care baby. Xxxxxxxx

Banger
I’m Homed
Hi Banger it's Toney here your ex kennel mate, I too have been up to no good, I thought whilst my foster mum was upstairs I would help myself to the bin bag. Well there I was face in the bag, bum in the air and having a good time when she suddenly appeared I did that greyhound look (it's not me honest) but the mess from the tea bags on the floor and the tea leaves on my nose said another story. x

Bit shocked to see ada was given up on so quickly. It is always a bit hard to take on a new dog and most of us expect a time of readjustment. Ada, in particular, has been through so much. Hopefully another home is not far away. Sending her hugs. Xx

Hope Tessie enjoys the training weekend. She is a lovely little girl and it would be great to see her with a bit more confidence in life. Hopefully will see her next Wednesday for a cuddle. Xx

Tessie
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Tessie is arriving back at the kennels today as she is going to be the dog I am going to work with for the Tony Knight training this weekend. I am really looking forward to the training so I can hopefully pass on more advice to those owners with dogs having issues.

this type of news is just so frustrating and dissappointing and always hits us grey owners hard- we just find it hard to comprehend how you can find the real dog in just a few hours- that being said she always always has auntie ruth in the background to come to the rescue so at least she is a happy girl thanks ruth xx

Thought I would post a new photo of Ada as it hasn't been updated since she arrived at the Trust in May! She has settled back at our house like a dream 🙂

Carrie
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Hi Jeff, hope Carrie's claw is okay now? Your wording "I don't think anyone else would understand her like I do" really touched me. We adopted our beautiful 1st grey in March and the trust and understanding that built so quickly and deeply between 'Mom/Dad & Daughter' has amazed us. In spite of how much some of these lovely dogs have been through, they adapt so quickly it really is a privilege to have the pleasure and responsibility of living alongside and caring for our gorgeous girl; from whom we have learnt so much and as for cuddles & kisses we've received.... I've lost count! Big hugs to you all. T, J & R xxx

Couldn't agree more with 'michelleandbertie's' comment below. When we adopted Rosie, Kate gave us the best advice with her words "remember, time & patience". This beautiful little girl Ada, has endured injury and endless trips to the vets/specialist and surely the 'few hours owner' knew of her needs before choosing to adopt her?! Ada my little darling, you WILL get your forever home and we have all our fingers and paws crossed that next time will be the right family for you. You have been through so much that you are getting the biggest electronic hug we can possibly send to you precious. Lots of love T, J & R xxx

Sending my love to Jenny and her new owners, how terrible for everyone !! we had only had Bertie a very short time when he had to have one of his toes amputated, when the vet said the word amputate I was absolutely horrified I would rather have had my toe or even foot off rather than Berties !! so I cannot imagine how you must all feel 🙁 if its any consolation my moms greyhound Flossie broke her hock, ( before mom had her ) but she has fully recovered and runs around like a complete loon, has more stamina than my two put together and never has ( touch wood ) any problems at all !
