Hi tomgrey. Most people speak very highly of Bark Inn kennels. We have never had the need to use them ourselves...but l think that they board only greys...so very experienced with the breed. l think you will find their details somewhere on this website. X.

Hi Tomgrey. I used the Bark Inn kennels a couple of years ago. I found them quite good. They are based at Baddesley Ensor. Their number is 07828 609201.email is barkinnkennels@hotmail.co.uk. They generally will only board greys but will also take a non grey if it is a living with of a grey.

lt's now been 10 days since we stopped feeding tinned meat to our dogs for breakfast....and l have to admit that we thought we were probably clutching at straws, but l am very happy to say that the change in their behaviour and general condition has been quite remarkable!!! We hav'nt seen any signs of the aggression that was becoming an everyday issue and they have calmed down an awful lot...they were becoming really hyperactive...almost to the point of being out of control !!! Some other changes that we have noticed are : no more smelly wind...that was becoming a big problem, and their stools are much firmer too. Their fur has really improved and they are getting their lovely glossy coats back. lf someone had told me that feeding tinned meat could have had such a detrimental effect on their dogs...well...l would'nt have believed them!!!!!!! As l said before, we had'nt fed tinned meat for several years, on the advice of our vet...and we wer'nt giving them a budget brand...they were having Winalot !!! So it's Burns only now...and to be honest, the Burns works out considerably cheaper...even if we mix chicken...ham...or tuna with it, the cost is about the same as the tinned meat!!! So, it looks like peace and harmony has returned to Muddypaw Mansions :-))) P.S. Just one more thing worth mentioning...the brown colourants and dyes that they add to tinned meat...to make it look more like "meat", were really staining their teeth very badly!! Their tuffies are now looking much, much cleaner. X.

Hi! Tom is fully settled in now and knows all of the local cats, though not sure how friendly he would be if he got up close. He has really come out of his shell and is now the boss of the house! We are looking to go away for a night or two next week but won't be able to take Tom with us. Would anyone be able to recommend a good kennels for greyhounds? Thanks!

  • Roxy (Queenie)

    I’m Homed

Roxy will be celebrating her first year with us on Sunday. She is so good natured. Her passion is to oversee the kitchen activities and make sure that anything edible goes to her whether you want it to or not. She loves being off lead looking for squirrels or playing 'fetch'. At home if she is in a hurry she will run across the wooden floor on the tips of her claws which makes it look like she is ice skating. She talks to you if she thinks that the food is a bit late or you are taking too long to let her out. She tries to boss Jaylo but it rarely works. They are both different but compliment each other beautifully .

Took Jed with me when I left my car for its MOT got back early and was allowed to wait in the hospitality section opposite to a spiral staircase, well the look of bewilderment on Jed's face as the people disappeared upstairs was priceless you could almost see the cogs in his brain saying I don't understand this he provided much amusement to everyone waiting

  • Jaylo

    I’m Homed

I am sure someone forgot to tell Jaylo that you slow down as you get older. She jumps about and plays like an overgrown puppy especially just before walks and food time. She has been part of our family for four years in October. She loves attention off anyone. At bedtime she goes outside and then dances about until I let her in. Then she goes upstairs and snuggles into her bed. You can almost hear the contented sigh. She has a mind of her own and you could find yourself being pulled off the path to the nearest interesting smell or trying to get her to move because she has decided that she does not want to go in that direction. The only time she makes a sound is when she is dreaming.

l must say...it's great when owners keep in touch via this website... or Facebook...on how they and there greys are getting on. l often wonder how some of you are doing. l know it's not every ones thing... but it would be nice to hear how you are doing. Having said that, l suppose that we are the same. So here is our news: Davey: Still a nutter...nearly 10 now...still thinks he still is a pup...he is never going to change...bless him!!! Millie: Still a bundle of love. Pip : So happy with life...running on Duracell...and a massive food thief...still!!! Nell: Our princess...loves her own company...but has an invisible friend that visits every day, whome she plays with ??? Flynn: Not from Daybreaks...a big gentle giant...a really loving, faithfull boy . So...that's our update.......let's hear yours ??? Would be greyt to hear how you are all doing. come on ......don't be shy !!! X.

Hi Willow'sMa. The penny has just dropped! You were referring to Willow!!! Wer'nt you ??? Better stop digging this hole now !!! So pleased to hear Willow is settling in and you are taking advantage of the advice and help at hand. X.

    I’m Homed

Hi banger. They have learned to hide everything in my house too. I have been here 12 weeks now and have stolen several loaves, a mobile phone case, a key fob, chewed a hole in the phone. Yesterday they went to do dog walking at daybreaks. I stay at home because I get stressed if I go. I ate my Kong and was bored. There was a fluffy cat (not a real one) that belonged to my mummy's mummy who is in heaven. I dedded it. Mummy was not happy. Is all OK now as she says I am a mischief ( think she is confused because I'm not, I am a greyhound) but she loves me lots and lots. It is fun being on a home. I hope you are having fun too. Mummy says she remembers walking you at daybreaks. Sending nose licks. Love Milly xx

  • Willow (Wilma)

    I’m Homed

Hi Linda and Paul, Really looking forward to seeing everyone and getting going with the training, drinking tea and eating cake! Willow is a lovely girl. She has met a Labrador dog who was good friends with Iris and seemed to accept him. She has walked past cats asleep on their owners drives-and ignored them more or less. So far she is clean in the house and has learnt to go up and down the stairs. The part of life she isn't enjoying is being separated from 'her pack' in the day or at night. Ruth is guiding us on this which is so reassuring and supportive. I now know she has a fine pair of lungs and isn't afraid to use them! So this is a work in progress that I hope will get better as we follow all the top tips we are being given. Really looking forward to introducing Willow to everyone and seeing you. Xx
