I am very tired so I hope I dont sound too contraversial ! normally its Roy not me BUT........ how can anyonegive up on a dog only a few hours into thier 'forever home together' as said before most of us have a wobble or two, the enormaty of the responsibility ( especially with your first ) and then again with your second a different kind of worry ie will my first dog feel left outetc etc etc, but if you dont give it time then really its best that the dog does come back as they deserve patience, and love, its a whole new world for them and they need people who will be there and not give up too soon !

Well I know I said that Jed didn't do very much and was very chilled he seems to have taken your comments on board, two thermos flasks, two chewed lids, alarm clock and pair of rubber gloves on his bed this afternoon with a look on his face saying "nothing to do with me"!

How can you know in such a short time? iam sure we all have had a bit of a wobble after taking on a new dog, I remember just after we had our first sitting in tears cos I didnt think I would cope, he was very strong and keen on the lead, he came straight from racing kennels less than 2 weeks since he last raced. When we had number two wasnt as bad but couple of days in had the doubts again was it right to have two could they both get attention that they needed etc, but we are all here muddling along, doing the best we can. Poor Jenny and her poor owners who no doubt will be feeling terrible. Not knowing details of the break etc, but having been though something which may be similar with Norris on foster, we just followed the vets post-op & rehab instructions to the letter during the time he was with us. His hock healed so fantastically well you can hardly tell now, so here's hoping Jenny's leg will heal just as well. Petplan are just fantastic too Love to all concerned xx

Since this page has become almost a diary , I forgot to say that last week Carrie , somehow ripped her dew claw out at 8pm , after a phone call to the emergency vets with what seemed like loads of blood everywhere , I ended up having to bandage her up with a ripped up pillowcase and some toilet roll , she looked so sad but she was fine the next morning , its very strange but she's doing very similar things to Eve and alongside Carla , its like Eve has come back to me ....twice with knobs on Theres only one thing in the world better than a greyhound ..... ..2 greyhounds

Eeek! I sadly had the news that poor Jenny broke her leg and had to undergo emergency treatment at the weekend. The family would like to say 'a big thank you to Rachael at The Ark Vets in Stratford' for what they considered to be above & beyond the call of duty in the way that she dealt with Jenny on Sunday. 'Also thanks to Andrew at WMR for his Sunday late night counselling & help'. All I can say is thank goodness for Petplan!!!!
