Like ladyvictoria said. If your missing stuff check his bed. Poor ruth thought she was going bonkers sunday morning with a blanket in a bed in the run. It kept disappearing. Being found inside. So I went and retrived it and put it back... then went and hid to see who was moving it. Guess who !!! Didn't chew it. Just moved and hid it. Lol. He was fab on his walk and just wanted to play and dance about. Such a gentle. Happy. Giant. Xxxx

  • Torres

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

Poor Torres is on bed rest and no walks for a few days after coming in from the garden this morning after playing with Lottie and Coco covered in blood..... looked like a blood bath. Searched dogs and it was his paw gushing. Couldnt see where coming from. So had to bandage and off to vets we went where he was stitched. Antibiotics. Foot wash and me stupidly forgetting to muzzle him whilst vet worked on him. I am now proud owner of some slight marks on my arm. Bless him. My fault. He was in alot if pain. Daft dog. All forgiven after he gave both me and vet a big kiss each (of Torres that is) lol. Xxx.

  • Mia (Splash)

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

Mia has been in for more tests today. Her blood is now up from 21 to 27 in just 48 hours! The vets were stunned with her progress. Tonight she was jogging round the field investigating rabbits in the hedgerows almost as if nothing had happened. They have taken samples of her lung fluid and even lung tissue to check that a tumour hasn't caused this, but they think that this is less likely than likely and that, although Mia may have to permanently be on medication, she should be able to lead a normal life if the tests come back negative. The vets in Kenilworth and Warwick have been indescribably wonderful - quick-thinking, caring and professional. We are indebted to them. Thank you again for your support and will post the final results on Friday! x

Oh Annie Annie, what a shame. I understand that it just has to be right. You would be a perfect mate for my Delphy, but I know it is not right for me to have another right now. Your sofa is out there sweetheart. xxxx

    I’m Homed

Toni travelled very well in the car with ripple, he has met the hoover (just lay down watching it) and licked the telly, played in the garden with ripple and has eaten a reasonable tea. If he wakes up we are all going for a walk later.

Paddy (Currently being called Henry), is actually on trial with us at the moment. He has taken quite quickly to home life with only a couple of wee's in the kitchen and 10 minuets of crying at bedtime on the first night. He is very affectionate and loves to be fussed, cuddled and really enjoys leaping around the lawn whilst nibbling my elbows! He does need a very firm hand when meeting a non-grey dog, i think that its the only thing that will require lots of training / exposure! So far so good! And with Katie not looking so grumpy, i'm hoping that he will be staying! xx I have put a couple of photos on my Flicker account at https://www.flickr.com/photos/123277979@N03/

l must say...l don't know what kind of owner would grass on her little boy so easily!!! l hope Up Up now realises what a snitch his mummy is...and as for your feeble attempt to plead mitigating circumstances....well...you could have at least said that it fell off the side...and landed in his mouth!!! l hope that you realise your baby will now be issued with a kitchen ASBO. Ooooh...you bad mummy!!! l think Duggie should sue for defamation of character. X.

Ok - it was Mr Uppy the Fox who did steal the loaf - but it was left on the side so it was for the taking! It beats Ada who is at ours at the moment who devours collars if left around!!!!!! Spare a thought for Foxy today tho - he is at Fivelands having x-rays - my poor fella 🙁

Bless his cottons. I just love his character even though it's not completely out in the open. I am really looking forward to seeing it develop. We spent all weekend straightening up the garden for him and making some nice shady places for him to retreat to when the sun gets overhead. Also put the cushions on the sun beds so he can work on his tan if he wants! Just need a cocktail bar and a waiter and he should be set!!

  • Jed

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

Hi Caro we have 2 polar opposite greyhound girls, Lola & Lena. Lola is very waggy tailed and gets excited to see us when we have been out but her affection at other times is all on her terms. She's got a superb temperament though, and is a PAT dog. Lena used to be much more reserved in the 'been out-return home' scenario, but in the evenings she is a total cuddle monster however she is a very keen, reactive, nervous dog when out walking. I don't know if you've ever tried it, but some simple clicker training might be a way of further engaging Jed's channels of communication with you. Just simple things like hand targetting to start with. It's really lit up Lena and she wags her tail much more since we've been doing it, basically once they get the hang of it they can have a lot of fun. With Lena though, her tail wagging means she is thinking, processing information and usually that she wants something! There's lots of stuff on Youtube on clicker training (Paul found the kikopup ones good I believe). Lola was very slow to start with and couldn't be bothered, but we persevered and now she loves it too, almost to the point of going over the top! Just a thought....... Linda, Paul Lola & Lena xx
