Isla
Over the Rainbow Bridge
After 2 very unsettled nights ( to be expected ) Isla only moaned for about 30 seconds last night when put to bed, slept quietly in her t shirt all night and was calmly pleased to see me when I went down to let her out first thing. X she's had a stand off with next doors cat through the fence. She can now cope well with having a little glance over at the guineapigs cage and then ignores them completely 🙂 They aren't worried by her at all. Still practising builder her confidence when left alone. Xx The boys are pleased to have her back xx

Hiya Thank you for your reply. I have been reading up a lot just lately on Greys on tips, their nature and likes and dislikes so I hope all this will help me settle a girl/boy into their forever home. I will be booking time off work to spend time with them to settle in at first and mainly work nights as a nurse so they won't be left alone much. My partner is a teacher so the plan will be rehome a lovely greyhound at the start of the six weeks so we can give our undived attention whilst off work. I am very excited to come and meet the lovely greys and find our forever friend xxx

Jema, we waited until we had AL too and felt it was the right thing for all. Jack got used to us and bonded quickly and we were able to build up the time on his own gradually. Also helps with house training too. The dog you least expect to will most likely be the one to steal your heart xx

Carrie has developed a mass of dandruff and shedding although the coat she now has is amazing , I gave her a shower this afternoon and checked her skin with a torch and it looks so much better , even my neighbour , who like me see her everyday has noticed how much better she looks , I may just have to bring both the girls up to daybreaks in the next couple of weeks as Im so proud of them

Ah , I was going to do a lengthy post on Carla , but decided to lie on the quilts with " Mummy " Carla and the " Mad whippet " Carrie ( who is looking fantastic by the way) instead , I really understand that Car sticker I got though the post with the RGT magazine " Keep Calm and adopt a Retired Greyhound ".. Some moments are priceless.

Jema I have just read your post on the site yes you are right there are lots of greys to choose we have a little black girl and we didant know anything about greys but daybreak will give you all the help you need they are such great animals to have I was very surprised the way they settle it will take time but it's a reward when they come to you with lots of licks and all they ask for is your love hugs and plenty of cuddles a play in the garden and nice walks that's all they ask of you the only thing is please give them time to settle down this can take time but you will be rewarded good luck to you tinkers nanna xxxx
