Hi Graeme, we have one of Bobby's other brothers Skip and I totally agree with Champs Mum, having a great home, regular grooming and oily fish will all help. It does take a few weeks but you will have a handsome black swan in no time! (Mary, what a lovely way to describe beautiful black greyhounds!) Xxx

I was talking to a friend of mine who is a vet and he has advised me to get Jed's vaccination checked (I couldn't remember the name) to see if it contains the lastest strain four of Lepto as he is seeing dogs come in with Lepto who's vaccinations are up todate. Lepto is a disease that comes from rats urine and gets into the body through small nicks and cuts, so if you live in the country or your dog regularly goes near rivers, pools and ponds it may be worth checking with your vet.

Hi Melysa, I've had a similar thing with Champ(ion the wonder dog). We have an ongoing regime of: Sardines in his food - not every day but the occasional add in and the fish oils seem to help Grooming helps to get rid of the scurf and stimulate new cells Daisy lab has terrible grass allergy and she has 10 mls of evening primrose oil a day to help her skin - it is brilliant stuff and has meant we have been able to reduce the steroids she has to combat the allergy. She is itchy but he is not but I tried it with Champster anyway and I think it makes a difference. As you know he has his scurfy moments when he gets a bit stressed but the above helps keep it in check. Mouse always looks fab anyway xx

Hi Graeme, we had similar with his brother Champ. He has a daily ration of evening primrose oil (one of our labs has it as she has an awful grass allergy so thought we would give it a try), lots of grooming and sardines. He has gone from a tufty to a lovely sleek black greyhound. He still gets occasional scurfy moments but it tends to happen when he is a little bit stressy so we just let him have a few treats, lots of cuddles and strokes to help him relax. I could never have imagined that he would be so handsome. You'll see a big difference over the next few weeks as he gets used to his new home and finds his place and chills. I used to get a bit embarrassed taking Champ to kennels etc as he looked so scruffy compared to the other visitors - I was always worried about his coat and apologising but it is honestly just a question of time until the (black) swan appears :).

Hi Lisa, so pleased to hear Isla feels so at home with you again. She was very excited to see you this afternoon! She has been very reluctant to go on walks since she came back to the kennels...It was great to see her trot happily down the drive with you all. Xxx

Charlie Mouse
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Hi Melysa..... the Yumega is the standard product for skin and coats and the Yumega Plus is for dogs with itchy skin. As you don't say whether he's itchy or not I thought I'd mention the two types. Have a look on the Lintbells website which I think is very informative its www.lintbells.com . Go to Products and you can read and compare both types and see which if any you think is best for Charlie Mouse. Linda x
