Jed improving a little bit but still very sore and lame, vet has suggested an xray on Weds if no significant improvement over the next 24 hours.

Oh poor Cadbury but no surprise. ALL family members need to be in agreement with adoption and all that it entails. Yes, effort and patience is needed from us humans but the rewards are fantastic. Cadbury, i am sure that your forever home is just round the corner and everybodys fingers and lots of doggies paws are crossed for you my beautiful boy.

Cadbury has been returned today. Sadly the owners decided he was too big for them and they had problems with him settling when left alone. They did say he was very good with their children and other dogs when out on walks. Very sorry for all concerned things didn't work out this time. x

Ok , let me ramble on for a minute ,I know its sort of off greyhound topic but Ive suddenly realised tonight and trust me its like a bolt from the blue , that you really do have such a different relationship with each one of your dogs that you ever have the good fortune to share your life with than you would ever expect , I remember saying , I didn't want Carrie to replace Eve and she hasn't but she's amazing and to be honest , I haven't actually got upset about Teddy dying , what did it for me was the fact that he was a stubborn little man and didn't even bother me with with his symptoms and just got on with barking at the postman . they are all very , very different aren't they ...

Thanks everyone for the thoughtful comments , I got Carrie a cuddly dog toy yesterday to keep her company until Mr Right comes along , it seemed a bit weird not having arguments over dog toys , She has her eye on Liam at the moment , she thinks he's proper cute , but we're going to wait a little while..
