Hubby has agreed to atleast 4 weeks fostering at the mo. He is still not giving in to adoption 🙁 Isla is doing well though, she is settling at bedtime happily now but is waking at 4 am? Small improvement each night. She would love a forever home where she could sleep in your room with you really but we are being consistent, she sleeps downstairs. Happy girl in the day, eating well! Walking nicely, the guineapigs are now ignoring her, she has lots of love to give. She did not like the look of a group of 4 boarder collies yesterday and kept checking over her shoulder but did listen and carry on walking when told to leave it. I missed Torres and Coco at school too! Heard all about it though. Xx

Cara has come back to Daybreaks after her short foster while she recovered from her spey. She has been really good with other breeds including small dogs, she is good with children, good on the lead and fully house trained. I am grateful to Janet who has been fostering her and she said she is happy to speak to anyone else who would like any more information about her. She is possible cat friendly.

After about a hour and a half of spasmodic crying he settled down and we basically had a reasonable night. I came down stairs to see a rather excited dog greeting me. After breakfast, we went upstairs to get ready to go out when suddenly Ken came upstairs to try out the beds. We had great fun trying to get him off one bed; once he was off he ran into the other bedroom where we had to do the same procedure over again. Big laughs all around. Clive and I took Ken to the shops, where he behaved impeccably. Ken now walks past Casper Cat as if he isn't there.xxx

It was lovely to see this handsome boy off to his foster home yesterday afternoon. I had to smile, we lifted the boot lid and were debating if he would be able to get in etc, and he just took one look, jumped in, turned round and lay down with that "right, where are we going then?" look on his face!! What a stunner he is.x

Surprise
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Thank you Tiggersmum, Melodysmum, Snipe and Clareb. I think Surprise has been biding her time - she has always been so good about going to bed, straight upstairs and then flat out on her bed next to Champ. Literally the night the reserved sign went up she decided her own bed was no longer good enough and now she is straight upstairs and on our bed. She went back to her own reluctantly but then I had to take one of the labs out in the night and when I came back, who was curled up on my side - yep Surprise - cheeky monkey!!! Melodysmum - in retrospect I don't think it took me 3 weeks to fail, that probably happened quite quickly, it just took me 3 weeks to admit it 🙂

Just wanted to let you all know how Judy is getting on - she has been as good as gold settling in. No accidents and has taken to our routine like a duck to water. She has been finding her place with Foxy and had a successful first meeting with the family's 3 King Charles cavaliers which within a couple of hours was comfortable enough to have the muzzle off! She has livened up the house again and her personality is starting to shine with a little cheeky edge figuring out whats her toys and whats not!! We could not have asked for a better first week and look forward to many happy years. Couple of weeks until our first adventure to the beach - fun times x

Ken arrived at his foster this afternoon and has settle in very quickly. He is scared to walk past or go near our cat. However, he christened the garden as soon as he arrived and had a good run up and down the garden. xx
