I am just wondering if I can be a member of the FFP Club too? Maggie was our very first foster dog in 2006 before we opened Daybreaks and I broke my heart the day she went off to her new home - however, this was the exact day Foxy arrived at 14 weeks old so I became full occupied with the Uppy monster! Maggie was subsequently returned twice for various reasons the second time being in 2009 when we knew the time was right to really keep her...... she has brought us so much joy and we secretly are pleased when was returned - fate.......

What lovely news for you and Torres, although I did try on the Kingsbury walk to get my friend to rehome him. As I am a member of the FFP club, have been there, done it and should wear the tee shirt or badge. Or as muddypaws says a cross on the forehead. It was to be. But anyway love to you The New Icemaid Clan xxxxxx

Hi Grundad...don't worry we will try harder to get you next time! Thanks so much for taking care of Snip and for all your help yesterday. Keeping everything crossed she is getting on well with her new family. Xxx

Well we failed to join the FFP yesterday and handed Snip over to hopefully her forever parents. Very sad to see her go, she is a real live wire, but we wish Snip, Mandy and John much joy together (not forgetting Alice and Paddy the other greys)

Hi muddypaws... I don't think your comment was controversial, in fact I've been stewing over Poppy's return since I read about it last week. We're relatively new (7 weeks) greyhound parents and in that time have had a few health scares with our little precious girl Rosie however, at no time would we ever have considered giving up on her. She's the most amazing addition to our family and even when she's not been feeling too well, she's remained a little ray of sunshine and given us endless love, affection and giggles, oh yes and of course those soppy big brown eyes! These amazing dogs don't ask for much, just time and patience (as Kate once told us), a loving home, good food and cuddles. I echo your words in asking new families to 'get to know their new arrivals' and certainly give them time to settle in before deciding to return them to kennels. Sorry, just had to get that off my chest! Tash x

I have a very poorly greyhound this morning - complete non weight bearing on his left hind leg - trying to get an emergency appointment with my vet - really worried about him, he was a little lame over the last two days but I thought he had just pulled something as I couldn't see anything in his paw.

I just wanted to say I totally agree with lady Victoria and shanesmum about Charlie and Albert, my heart went out for them today, despite all that they have and are going through they are still happy waggy tailed boys , greyhounds are just so amazing a breed , they just love people and want to be loved !! I feel so sorry for Charlie and Albert as I think that the bandages are off putting prospective families off perhaps, but please look past this, as it is only temporary and they are on the mend, they have waited so long and really deserve a forever home now where they can coverless and get better , fingers crossed not long to wait now xx
