I took this smashing lad to Melbicks today, and he was perfect!!! I still cannot believe he is still here. He travels lovely in the car, he doesn't pull at all on the lead and is a very happy boy. See you tomorrow Torres xxxxxxx

Isla
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Isla came with Peanut to visit Brueton Park this morning and as always was very well behaved. We have been out and about with this lovely girl a few times now and are getting to know her quite well. As I have said before she always gives wonderful greetings, is so affectionate and walks very well on the lead. Today was no exception. She and Peanut got on well together; when we stopped for tea and a bowl of water at the little cafe she rested her head on his back (you are truly honoured Peanut). Although she and Peanut were naturally excited by some of the very small dogs off-lead she was indifferent to the other breeds and settled well. Many people commented on her prettiness and friendly nature. As with Peanut, we felt proud to be out and about with her; she was a credit to Daybreaks. Someone is going to fall in love with you very soon Isla and give you the forever home you deserve. Thank you for coming with us today and for leading the way in showing Peanut that the world isn't such a scary place. Lots of love. xxxxx

Peanut
I’m Homed
Brian and I had the honour of taking lovely Peanut on his 'maiden voyage' to Brueton Park today. On arrival he was naturally rather nervous and excited at all the new sights and sounds. On this glorious April day I swear the entire dog-owning population of Solihull was visiting the park, so this boy had lots to take in. There were a various assortment of breeds and sizes; walking, running and bathing, many off-lead. Peanut didn't know where to look first and did one or two little jumps, but not once did he pull on the lead and settled well during the short time we were there. Considering this was his first visit to the wide world he behaved beautifully, walked nicely on the lead and adjusted well to the many breeds (interacting positively with some) by the time we left the park. We felt very proud of him. He and Isla drew much attention, many people wanting to know more about greyhounds, which was nice. This boy is beautiful. I had the chance the sit with him in his kennel yesterday; he is so affectionate - lying on his back to have his tummy stroked and nuzzling for attention. I can't say enough lovely things about him. He will make a wonderful, loyal companion. Thank you for coming out with us today, Peanut. Lots of love. xxxxx

I had the pleasure of meeting the loveley Torres today. When I saw him he was so calm and laid back and took everything in his stride, he just wanted to lie down and watch the world go by even if he did have to tuck his tale in!!!!
