Little Charlie, there's no contest who gets my cuddle today… what with losing so many teeth it has to be you. Do hope you're not in too much discomfort and will give you a proper cuddle tomorrow if you're feeling up to it. Tash x

Hi Sylv, glad to hear Minty is ok and is talking to you and John again! Twiggy is well, although she has sadly started to wet her bed again, 🙁 she just can't help it, poor lass. Xxx

Hello sweet Nina. So sorry for taking your kennel mate Champ away. I hope you aren't missing him too much. You will have your own lovely family soon and I know you will be happy for Champ. I don't think Champ will mind that I have given you my cuddle today xxx

Champ
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Hi Tash & John. Thanks for your lovely message. I was so excited in the run up to today but really nervous about actually picking him up. He travelled brilliantly - straight into the car, onto the duvet and slept most of the way home. We brought Daisy and Roxy out to meet him separately and I couldn't have hoped for a better start. Touch wood no canine cross words so far. We took all three for a walk in the field opposite the house. Lovely sunshine and all three dogs behaved beautifully. Lots of new things for Champ - a train, some horses, even a couple of rabbits. He was very interested but stayed put. Andy (my other half) has totally taken to him - had to relinquish the lead to him and he couldn't stop talking to Champ and stroking him. When we came back we walked him past the chickens and cockerels in the garden. Again I am amazed at how good he was - very interested but not lunging at them. I know that's probably not going to last but he has had so many new things today and he has been so good. We've had one little accident and he's ripped a hole in his new duvet bed. He's a bit of a constant shadow but I know he just needs to settle in. Having said that, I am sitting here, TV on with 3 dogs stretched out in front of me in front of the fire. We have lots of settling in to do over the next while and it isn't going to be easy and I'm sure there will be canine cross words, but it's like he's always been here and I can't help smiling every time I look at him. Thank you Daybreaks xx ps I've managed to get a few photos which I'll send over soon
