Spent some quality time with Champ today, he is a very affectionate lad who certainly enjoys some love and fuss. I'm not surprised he has been reserved as he is a very hansom lad! Good luck with your new home!

Hey beautiful Bandit. Thank you so much for guiding me along the busy A45 earlier today. You are adorable and love human company. We did have a little cuddle as well and I was able to say 'bye' before you head out the kennels tomorrow to your new home. Good Luck gorgeous. Tx

Hi Torres, although I wasn't lucky enough to walk with you today, I did get to spend a while cuddling you in your kennel and what a fusspot you are. Really hope your lucky family is not too long in walking through the Daybreaks door. Big hugs gorgeous. Tx

Hi Rosie Posy, well what can I say… you are the most adorable greyhound and John & I loved spending so much time with you in your kennel and also out walking (twice) today. Can't wait to see you again very soon. Tx

Hi 'Big Al', just after you came back in to Daybreaks today, I snuck in with you and we had a lot of cuddle time. You are a beautiful boy, but you do know your own mind when out walking on a lead! You will make the most wonderful family addition and I'm keeping everything crossed that the lucky family is just around the corner. Tx

Hi beautiful boy; Liam what are you still doing at Daybreaks? You are a stunner, so good to walk with (no pulling) and love lots of cuddles and fuss. Hope your poorly ear gets better very soon. I'm greedy I know, but just have to send you BIG hugs again despite all those we had earlier today! Tx

'Boo Boo', you were simply a delight to walk with today alongside the very busy A45, so good on your lead and not a whimper from you despite it pouring down. Paws crossed that the right family for you is just about to walk through Daybreaks door. Big hugs gorgeous girl. Tx

    I’m Homed

I am desperately hoping that someone falls for Boo / Holly today or very soon. Bringing her back was quite simply one of the most distressing and heart-breaking moments of our lives. I really do want to stress that it was through no fault of hers - she is funny, lively, playful and affectionate. It was quite simply that we couldn't seem to integrate her with our other two greyhounds (both girls). I think that one of the reasons was that we have the most incredible relationship with the two existing girls - obviously we both adore the two of them but Mia just dotes on my husband and I have an incredibly close and unique relationship with Evi.... I think to bring another dog into the equation was probably doomed to failure, and after a few days we noticed that our two were becoming withdrawn and unhappy and not playing with their toys or wanting to cuddle up with each of us any more. If Boo / Holly had come under different circumstances, such as at a future time when the unthinkable has happened and Mia and Evi are no longer with us, there is no way we could ever have parted with her and we would have done anything to make her happy. As it was we just felt we couldn't give her the attention and love she needed without depriving our other girls of theirs so we had to make this awful decision. I miss her more than words can say and I just cannot wait to see that she has the home she deserves with a very special person who can be for her what we, with our two dogs, could sadly not. We will never ever forget her or stop loving her xxxxxxxxxxx
