Thanks to everyone for their help today, we were a little thin on the ground this afternoon so it was sand run fun for the hounds. We had two handsome new arrivals, Buick a lovely black dog and Denver a very handsome white and blue fawn boy (not much fawn, a little at the top of his tail and one ear and a little around one eye and yes I am biased as he is the full litter brother to my Cooper)!! Thanks for the kind donations of bedding and towels and to Rob one of our volunteers for a generous donation of much needed sardines. If you are able to spare a couple of tins of food we are always looking for sardines either in tomato or oil, tuna (not in brine) and pilchards, as well as tinned, tray or meat pouches. If you are interested in any of our gorgeous residents please give the kennels a call and make an appointment to come and view. It's great to see we can start to hold events again, all proceeds go to the care of the residents, we have the Hounds Easter parade, the Platinum Jubilee afternoon tea and our 16th Birthday party and hopefully more throughout the year. Mikey has come back to the kennels today, although he was 'Reserved' he was on a foster/trial basis. He had been fantastic in every way, his family made the sad decision for him to come back as they feel that as they are an older couple he would benefit from being in a more active home. They said he was absolutely perfect and if they were 10 years younger he would have stayed with them. Many thanks to them for giving him a break from the kennels and they have given him a glowing report. If anyone would like more information about this super lad, please call the kennels.

After being returned to Daybreaks on Sunday it seemed a good idea to give Tal a morning out in Brueton Park. He certainly enjoyed the experience and was a joy to take out. No problems of any sort when meeting the many other dogs and walkers in the park. He is extremely relaxed walking on the lead ( you could almost say lazy !! )and travels well in the car after jumping in on his own. Hopefully he'll soon find another home to enjoy his retirement in.

Well I am in even bigger trouble! My hooman mum ordered a new cable for her router what I did chew and the postman did not read the note about leaving it in the garage instead he did put it through the letterbox well I could not help myself and I did chew the second one as well. My hooman mum is not talking to me at the moment I is in very big trouble I is hoping Ruth does say the kennels are full - PLEASE!!!

I collected Tal yesterday from Telford as his owner said he couldn't keep him as he had unfortunately been snapping at people. I took him home with me and he has been an absolutely wonderful house guest so will stay with me until he finds a home. He is totally house trained and gentle on the lead. He is gorgeous and very loving.
