Shrew
I’m Homed
Just back home from over an hour appointment at Fivelands Vets with the amazing Chris. My head is spinning from the information given from the scans for both Basil and Shrew..... basically with both we have more meds and we just take each day at a time..... after all they are only lent to us and we have been fortunate enough to have Basil and Shrew for a long time. Time for a rather large Southern Comfort....

Hi Cloud, we sell Dura Chews by Nylabone at the kennels; they are bone shaped and come in different flavours. They help discourage destructive chewing. Might be worth trying on your lovely Crofty. Xxx

Fortunately Mum & Dad are able to mix a bit of business and pleasure this week and go to Appledore in Devon again on Wednesday and are taking me and my big sister Belle. Mum said we're going to dog friendly pubs and a run on the beach if we are really good xxx

Keeping my fingers crossed for my little girl - she is at Fivelands awaiting x-rays as she is limping. She is going to be put on a drip for a few hours to flush her kidneys to reduce the risk of her GA. I am so worried...... 🙁

Hello Cloud Sounds like Crofty is a bit like our Tom who still likes to hide things in his bed after adopting him over three years ago but we don't mind as he just rests them in his bed. He especially likes shoes or anything fluffy. I know what you mean as well how other people can look at you when walking our greyhounds, we find that other people with their dogs running around off the lead startle our doggies who are fine unless other dogs come at them and run around them. I really wish that everyone keeps there dogs on a lead especially on parks and when crossing the road.! Best wishes to you and Crofty.

Just a quick stealth mail as I still dont have an email account. My clever brave little boy sniffed out a load of Cannabis Bush on the Green at Castle Bromwich this morning and stood on guard until the Police came to bag it up. Had a little fantasy that he might get his photo taken and in the Evening Mail and mention Daybreaks but they just said thanks to me and didn't even give the hero of the day a pat. Not even when he gave his best sad eyes look. Never mind Jak you're still my brave little soldier xx. Hope the lovely Twiggy is feeling better xx

Hurray my new mobile phone arrived today. My parents changed to Virgin so replacement sky remote control sorted. Saw him looking guilty this morning so I checked his bed and he had pinched the merecat toy again from the toy box. This is not a. co-incidence he really looks like he is loving it and it's the only one he steals regularly. I'm going to have to get him one of his own. Saw a lady on our walk this morning, she gave us a filthy look. I can only assume it was because Crofty was wearing a muzzle. There is an awful lot of ignorance and assumptions made by people. I think she thought he must be a vicious dog who can't be trusted out in public with other dogs, children etc. I felt like saying something but decided to rise above it smug in the knowledge that her dog should have been on a lead. The only things at risk from Crofty is anything you hate to have to live without phones, controls etc.
