Dear god, poor pumpkin, words absolutely fail me, 11 years of age and now not wanted after 7 years in a home. Hope he finds a wonderful new home for his twilight years.

Nom nom Hunny......That is expensive stuff to lose in one hit! I am picturing the scene of Bob on his raid!!! Lena can take a shopping bag off the worktop without tipping it up and remove the object of her desire from it......Must be in the genes.... PS have discovered down side of Thera paw boots this morning...... she is not too careful what she stands in on the grass verge.......yuk! It's bad enough cleaning it off human shoes!!!! xxx Seriously thanks for the tips. I get the moisturising thing.

This poor fella has been brought to us after being in a home for 7 years. The owners are no longer able to keep him due to a partnership break up. He is booked to go to the vets this afternoon as his teeth are in a horrific state and he is extremely underweight (the photos do not do justice) despite the owner telling me he eats well 🙁

maxsmum Good news Zeus is now eating on his own. He went to the vets yesterday and the vet is pleased with his progress, he has to go back next week, he still has his stitches and the big puncture wounds seem to be taking ages to start to heal, but he is on the mend that's the important thing.

Manuka honey IS fab, Snipe. When I got Orla she had sores (some open) on all her legs and feet as she was a stray. I used Manuka honey on them and they healed beautifully. 🙂 Well.....I did after I bought another jar of it as 'someone' (aka Killer Jaws Bob) got the jar of 15+ strength off of the worktop (without breaking it on the slate tiles!) undid the screw top and ate every last little bit!! When I was talking about the oil / heel cream, I meant I use it for Bob's corns to keep the pad moisturised.

Manuka honey works well and us antibacterial. You can get the ointment from vet or internet. Worked really well when our lurcher got her wound infected after leg amputation. X

Wilf update, just to let everyone know Wilf has settled in brilliantly, he and us couldn't be more happier. He has got such a character and makes us laugh every day. He has claimed all the sofas and loves to snuggle at the end of our bed! He is behaving well towards his cat brother and sisters, I think it will take time before the cats trust him, but Rome wasn't built in a day. We are so glad we have him, he is well and truly one of our family now 🙂

Great that the dressings are off.....Bob has had (another) mishap and is sporting red vetwrap and spent 20 minutes lick lick licking it and growling every time I went near him. I even offered him some black pudding but he just carried on licking and didn't even look at the offering! (He tore off 2 pieces of skin, both about the size of a 50p piece on a dead blackberry branch) I have used various things such as https://www.spieziaorganics.com/spiezia-shop/natural-remedies-made-for-therapy/organic-propolis-ointment.html but now I am using unrefined coconut oil. It's just something that is moisturising really (and that can be used with delicate greys) even the heel cream is good. The Epsom salts is really beneficial though...if she won't be happy having her foot plonked in a measuring jug with an ES solution whilst you feed her treats 🙂 then just soak a cotton pad or something and pop it on her foot for a while. Enjoy your walkies Lena xXx
