Daisydog here...I've had my best birthday ever. Sardines for breakfast, then a nice lady poured water all over me and chased me round with a loud whirring thing which made me feel all clean and shiny. I was a bit scared at first but got a bit braver. Then a tiny teeny walk cos it was soooo hot to watch the bowls and scrummy cheese with my tea. The entertainment was good too......I watched mum hovering up about a million wasps after a man came yesterday and found a nest in a wall of my house. It was so bad last night mum had to stay downstairs with me on the sofa so I didn't chase any. Big woofs to all my chums and thank you for making my birthday so special. xxx

22.5 kilos! wow I'd love to see her little round tum lol. She raced at 19 kilos, the smallest greyhound i've ever seen. As well as her sister Coole Whisper, who still runs at Perry Barr and is just as lively! It sounds like you're doing an amazing job with her Foggie x Just one thing, will you be sending any photies to put on her page...

So far we have not met many dogs, so cannot say how she will behave. But on the cat front, not cat friendly, they seem to be prolific around here. Our neighbour who recently moved in has one, hope she does not get to it. Walking excellent on the collar not the harness. Sylv.

Blade
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Took Blade into pets at home this morning and the great news is he as put on nearly 4 kg, we then went for a walk along the greenway with a friend of mine who as a small mongrel. I am pleased to report no problems, Blade was the perfect gentleman, Bertie just did his usual aloof thing and marched on. They are both back at home chilling out with their paws up. Roy

Daisy was in the kennels when we came to look for another dog, I remember her being so timid as she sat in her basket and she would not venture up to us for some cuddles, she was so nervous. It is lovely to hear that with your patience, love and understanding that she is starting to realise that the big world is not so scary. Have a lovely birthday daisy and missfifi I think you deserve a nice piece of cake too 😀 Have a lovely day together.

Riley (Boo)
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Poor Riley has not been well for a little while. He has had investigations and an operation at his local vets to try and find out what is wrong with him. I have been in close contact with Bernadette, his mum, and we went together yesterday to Fivelands to get a second opinion for his treatment. I am going to look after him for a little while as he needs to be fed 3 times a day on a very strict diet of chicken and rice and he is due to go back to the vets in a week for another B12 injection and to see how he is doing. It has been a stressful time for Bernadette and her family and I want to say a big thank you to her for everything she has been doing for him. He has had a settled night here and I am keeping my fingers crossed he starts to improve and gain weight very soon.

Blade
Over the Rainbow Bridge
We have had Blade now for a couple of days and what a fantastic boy he is , He is looking like he is starting to gain weight but I am going to have him weighed today to make sure and see how much he is putting on. He is excellent with my Bertie, from the off no problems at all they mostly ignore each other but even close up in the car they find their own space. Blade really would make the most wonderful companion for someone, he is just the most gorgeous looking boy who is fully house trained, although he is a food monster he does not jump up and i think he only wants food so much because at the moment he is just sooo hungry, however he is starting to leave some of his dried food now and is concentrating on the good bits i give him ( which there are plenty of at the moment whilst we are trying to fatten him up)and Blade sleeps straight through the night, Bertie gets us up at 7am otherwise Blade would sleep until later. I have totally fallen for this boy and would ideally love him to go to his forever home straight from ours as he has lived in a house some some years now. Blade is a quiet boy, very gentle and loving, his personality is starting to show but I think he would need to go somewhere where people are around most of the day or with another dog, only because he is used to having his owner around in the day and his whole world has been turned upside down latley, please if you are interested in Blade you could come and see him in our home environment or we can bring him to the kennels. As I said previously I really haven't got the words to say what a special beautiful and gentle boy Blade is , if I were in the position to have another then Blade would definitely be the one !
