How fabulous that Blade doesn't have to pack his suitcase and move home. Daisydog and I are delighted and know he will have a super life with you. xx

Thanks DuleekDandy but the real thanks go to his family who have stood by him all through - we only stepped in to help for a short while as we obtained a second opinion from the vets local to us and also to give Riley's family a much needed break - they have been through so much. I will keep you posted but I am desperately hoping he has had a settled night at the vets and can hopefully go home soon x

So sorry to hear about Riley being so poorly. Is it similar to how poor Ben (Emma's dog) was, Ruth? I remember he had test after test without much diagnosis for quite a while. Hope being on the drip makes him feel better and that he gets a diagnosis very soon so that treatment for it can begin. What lovely people you 2 are to take over looking after him. Thank you Ruth and Robbie for everything you do for these darling dogs xXx

I am really upset to say that Riley took a downturn on Saturday with torrential diarrhoea and we had a rough night with him last night too. Therefore Rob took him to the vets this morning and he has been admitted and is on a drip and stopping overnight. The vets just don't know what is causing him to be so poorly but I am keeping everything crossed that he can be helped. He is a such a wonderful gentle happy boy who doesn't deserve this 🙁 I am missing him and thinking also of Bernadette and her family and praying tomorrow brings better news for him xxxxx

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

I was playing with Bonnie at the kennels on Saturday she was so interested in everything and wanted to explore. I called her a few times and she responded and came running over to me. She is so sweet. She loved running around playing with a squeaky toy.

    I’m Homed

I spent some time with Duggie on Saturday. He really needs his forever home soon. We played ball out the back for a while and I sat giving him a fuss in his kennel. He spent some time standing at the front of the kennel then slowly came and stood by me for a fuss, then he lay down next to me and had a great big fuss. Everytime I stopped he'd look at me with his big soulful eyes until I started again. He is a wonderful boy.

  • Max

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

Max met Twiggy and Mannie today. Max is such a lovely sweet boy and relaxed straight away but Mannie didn't settle at all and Twiggy was slightly cautious at first. Twiggy had a right shout at poor little Max and to our surprise Mannie had a bit of growl to which was unusual as he fine with other greys whenever we've met them. Max didn't seem to care that the other two were a bit apprehensive and gladly let them say hello and relaxed well. After a few more meetings they should be much better together. He's such a lovely and handsome lad.
