What a fabulous day! A gorgeous new arrival - Mandy - she is just so gorgeous! Sam was reserved and is going out to his new home at the beginning of December following his neutering and (trumpet roll)...... FINALLY...... our favourite boy Mikey has gone out to foster.... he sat in the back of the car as if to say - this is what I have been waiting for and it was worth the wait! He has been at Daybreaks since the beginning of July bless him. It is extremely cold but the 'kids' have their underbed heating on and I have got several layers on! Video diary will appear on our Daybreaks Chat Facebook page later x

Another good night’s sleep for Jess until 7.30 when she went in the garden. She has had her breakfast which disappeared very quickly! Jess wanted to get her nose into Moe’s breakfast too but, once told, she left him in peace to enjoy his food. When you think what this little girl has been through recently, she is doing really well and is a quick learner. She is very good at going in the garden for a wee and a poo straight after her meal. To begin with, she could not figure out how to get her back legs on the sofa but she has got that one sussed now and is snuggled up next to me. Moe’s agreed to let her on the sofa as long as it’s not the bit he is on. He is being really good with her especially when you think he is used to our total devotion:) he is wonderful.

Moe and Jess are lying on either side of me on the sofa fast asleep after a busy day of investigating things. Jess has played with one of Moe’s toys which I was so thrilled to see her do and she snaffled half a cup of tea which she was very pleased about. She has got the most amazing ears that shoot off in all directions especially when she is curious about something (most of the time). Life is one big discovery for her and she wants to know absolutely everything but in a very gentle, sweet way.

Very sadly Woody has been returned to the kennels today. He is looking for a a nice quiet home without young children or teenagers. He gets very anxious around them but not aggressive in any way. He walks lovely on the lead and gets on well with other dogs. He can be left on his own for several hours. Rosie has very kindly taken him home for a few days! :)) Thank you. 🙂 Xxx

Well I met and walked gorgeous girl Swift. Beautiful dog lovely eyes and a nice nature. She walked really well on the lead. Got a bit excited when she saw a squirrel running along the fence!!! . But with a few 'leave its'and 'walk ons', soon settled back into the walk. I rather think she is going to make a super pet. Cuddles and kisses for her. Xxxx

A quick update on Jess. She had a good night’s sleep and woke up at 7.15 to go in the garden. Jess demolished her breakfast, she certainly has got a good appetite. She has not yet figured out how to get the food out of Moe’s wobbler although she definitely knows there is food in there. If we happen to stumble on it and food falls out, she is straight there, bless her. More news later

Jess is such a dear little girl who loves to know what is going on and is interested in everything. When we got home this afternoon, Moe showed her round the garden and explained that the sofa is his but everywhere else is fine ???? Jess has been lying on moe’s kitchen bed watching me bake. She is very loving and whoever gives Jess her forever home will be very lucky to have her. I will keep you posted

I feel there must be a special someone out there for Mikey. I would have him in a heartbeat, but Steve despite living happily with Fat neck Finn, growls at other male dogs and definitely doesn't want to "share" me yet lol If you are a special person reading this please go and see Mikey. I saw him when we went to the kennels and he is lovely and doing his best to find a forever home. It's all in the eyes. He gets my cuddle tonight bless him xxx
