We've had Boo with us for nearly 6 weeks now and all going well. We've managed to sort the sliding on the floors, the crying at night etc. She's so affectionate and a joy to have. We just need some pointers in one area.... She's great on the lead but is completely terrified if a dog not on a lead approaches her (and I mean completely terrified) - she's had bad experiences with other dogs in the past but I hate to see her so frightened and don't want her to miss out on days out etc - any tips would be really appreciated.

Well its nearly two weeks since i moved in and flashy has finally stopped growling at me when i go near his bed. I am starting to play with him in the garden but i still get nervous and want to come in. Yesterday mum put the washing on the line and i was ok until the wind moved the washing and then it was straight into the garage for me. I've also found that if flashy gets in the car first i give the puppy dog eyes to mum and dad as i am retired you know and it works as they feel sorry for me and pick me up and put me in the car (suckers) . We have tuna on our food and chicken pieces before mum goes to work and we get cuddles when she gets back and cuddles when kieran gets home and cuddles when the fat bloke gets home. I still love you aunty Ruth but boy have i landed on my feet here. XXX

Sadly things were not working out for Bolt and he is coming back to the kennels. Caroline, one of our volunteers, has kindly agreed to foster him until he can come back to the kennels and I have heard from her this morning that he has been very settled overnight and been a pleasure to have.... we need to find this fabulous fella a home as soon as we can.....

Bunny has been busy having a few new experiences. On Monday (Lola's 8th birthday) they dropped in at granddad's place for a treat or two! She's met my dad before but has not been to his flat, but she coped very well. She had a good look around and then settled down for a rest, following the lead of the other two who were comatose within a minute of finishing their treats! Tonight she's been round Wythall Park and really loved it. She was out in front of the other 2 trail-blazing her way round.....it was so good to see. OK, so I know it might not be that difficult to be out in front when Lola spends ages micro-analyzing each blade of grass :)) but she was so up for it tonight! Go Bunny! xx

My beautiful Stan, I will think of you everyday. You will b greatly missed by everyone who lives you touched. Run free special boy I have wrote this little poem for everyone to read: Do not look at photos and cry I haven't left or said 'bye' I am in Mannie and Twiggys face In every paw print you can trace I will watch my family from up above And fill them with very ounce of love I haven't really gone away Because I'm in your hearts and that's where I'll stay xxxx

The fabulous Sparky is still with us and I really feel for this beautiful boy. He enjoys cuddles, and walks really well on his harness now. He walks nicely with the group, but can get a bit vocal if he sees doggies moving about outside and he's inside his kennel! This little treasure really deserves his chance and I hope someone sees his potential soon. Big cuddles sweetheart. xxxxx
