Lola & Lena its easy, you either write dog steak on the shopping list or insist on Greyhound house law 16b(which states "any birthday, gotcha day, wedding christening ect dogs must be served steak") !! It’s been a week since I moved into this mad kennel in Burton and I have found it quite stressful (lots of strange noises and smells), although I am starting to feel more at home as the humans are kind and I feel safe enough to lie on my back now to get tummy rubs, which send me to sleep. My new bed arrived today, but Flash can have it as I like his bed, the new one does not smell nice! Flash still growls when I come near him in his bed (even now he has a new one), I don’t really understand as he likes being with me when walking, and when he growls he only gets told off by the humans. I went near him tonight in his new bed and he didn’t growl, this got him lots of ‘good boy’ chants and fuss from the fat bloke. All Flash has to do is look at him with those large brown eyes and he gets away with anything, as my eyes are much smaller I have decided to rub into him with my head to get some fuss and then look up at him, that should do the trick. I have discovered that if I do as I am told (lie down in the car, go to ‘a bed’ when told) then I get ‘good girl’ chants and that makes me feel good.

Bunny has not been reacting to cats while we are out walking. She's been at the kennels this afternoon and as the cats were there also, she met them and did not react. She's going to the kennels again tomorrow and will meet them again,so keeping everything crossed. She went to training again this morning and although she was still a bit over-awed by the experience, this week she was taking treats which is a big step forwards. She now jumps in and out of Paul's car on her own as well so we have seen quite a change in this little girl in the 10 days or so she has been with us. Of course she continues to be a little sweetie around the house. xx

Beautiful Katie was speyed yesterday and when I picked her up from the vets they told me she had been a perfect patient and been really good all day. Through the night however she has been very unsettled so I feel like a walking zombie! Poor girl has been through a lot in the last week - she will be back to the kennels today as she is already eating and very bright!

I really hope this is Sparky's weekend. Sadly, we went to look at him last weekend but he had been reserved and we took Rooney home instead. But we had a chat with Sparky and he is a lovely lad and so hope somebody falls in love with him in the next few days. If we could fit another in he would be here now, believe me Jane & Joe xx
