I have to tell you all that it was not an easy decision. Nora is a lovely dog who was let down by us unable to meet her needs. She needed more attention than we could provide through being out in the day. We had her best interests at heart but also had to think about Cherrypie who has become subdued lately. I know Ruth and everyone else who does such a great job at Daybreaks, will find her a new home. Thank you x

Hi Anne, we used to have a Renault Megane hatchback (2005 model) we always took our two greyhounds in it no problem. Often the dogs will pick each other and it can be as much about the personalities as the sexes. If you take Bugsy to the kennels they can meet up and you can start to see how they get on. Keep us posted.

LOUIS came to the Sutton walk at the weekend.I hope his mum will put a new picture on the website of him.He is totally unrecognisable. His coat is amazing, shinny, lush and thick. He has put weight on and looks a picture of health. It is just wonderful what a few weeks of TLC can do and must make all the hard work down at the kennels worthwhile.Louis also seems much more confident and happily enjoyed lots of cuddles. We wont mention the bike though!!

Dexter is settling in really well, loving his walks and cuddles. He is following us everywhere at the moment, but im sure he will not do it so much when he feels more secure. He is very funny, and so nosy, he is into everything and just loves to explore. He has been on a walk today with his sister Bridget and Murphy the Greyhound, we passed a few other breeds and he wasnt sure, was very strong on the lead, but he got better the more we passed. All in all, hes been a good boy and we look forward to having him in our family. Thankyou again for looking after him xx

Hi everyone, we adopted Bugsy (aged 3) in January and have loved every minute of having her, she loves other dogs and I am wondering about adopting another dog so they can keep each other company and enjoy running around together. On a practical point we have a Renault Megane (hatchback) - would two greyhounds fit in the boot together?... can't see it myself! Have two kids already filling the back seats... Really like the look of Sid... is it better to get the same sex or different? Any comments would be very welcome. Thanks Anne.

Bunny
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Had a lovely cuddle with Bunny yesterday when we dropped off the duvets & stuff picked up at Sutton Walk. She is so very sweet and it was lovely to see her little tail wag when Lena came to the kennel door to say hello to her. Bunny had a very quiet way of asking me to keep fussing her whenever I stopped! I hope someone will see past her initial shyness and make space in their home and their heart for this little poppet. I'm sure that over time she would blossom in a home environment. Our Lola was very quiet when we first had her but once she started to open up we had a very different dog. She's still and always will be much quieter and less busy than Lena, but nevertheless has a strong personality, with very definite opinions on what she likes and what she doesn't (anyone who has witnessed her greyhound police routine at Saturday training will agree I'm sure) I can imagine Bunny gradually emerging from her shell in a similar way so I'm keeping everything crossed that there's someone out there for her xxx

My beautiful Nora has come back to Daybreaks..... sadly she has been toileting in the house, become aggressive towards other dogs out on the walk, growling at the other greyhound in the house, crying at 5am and eating the children's toys. The family feel it is the right decision to return her and we support their decision. Nora is coming home with me tonight and is off to a foster home tomorrow. I will keep you posted on she gets on but we hope to find this little girl a home soon.
