I cannot believe what a happy girl Charley is! She wagged her tail all day yesterday and has got a wonderful appetite! I left her at the kennels last night and she was very contented laying on her bed as I left. Can't wait for cuddles with her again later 🙂

Saw some more pictures today of Finn as he was arriving at Daybreaks and despite him living at various kennels and homes during his racing days it is a fitting testament to him that he was found such a lovely forever home for his retirement!! As we collected Katie today we unveiled 'Jake and Way-Jays den' in the kennel Finn was looked after whilst in the care at Daybreaks 🙂 .... I will be taking Katie (his niece 😉 to see him soon and find out why I fell in love with Greyhounds 🙂

Willow (Katie)

Well we have got Katie home, now renamed Willow and she has settled in beautifully. She is currently snoozing next to me as I write this and she is right at home!! My reservation when I first saw her was that she was too quiet which I am not used to with Greyhounds but her personality is now shining through and after gallopping round the garden and diving in the snow we saw her tail wag for the first time!! My friend popped round impromptu with his baby and she just lay there and didnt bat an eyelid, we then had dinner and she didnt bother us and just lay there on her comfy bed. She has been outside for her wees etc and we give her a treat everytime so it looks as though she will be little trouble to train but we will be expecting the odd accident. We even popped to Sainsburys, left her on her bed and came back to a happy wagging dog delighted to see us. Once again, I cant speak highly enough of the work at Daybreaks and if I could I would rehome another 5 I would!! its so difficult to choose a grey as they are all so sweet, and needless to say make the best pets ever!! I have a soft spot particularly for Sparky and Stanley as they are such happy chappies and will make wonderful companions and im sure it wont be long before they find their forever home .....just as Katie (Willow) has!!!

I love going in the car to my pet mums nan and grandads house they have such a big big garden I love to explore the bushes till my pets throw my squeak ball and i will chase it up down and all a round till I'm all puffed out then its drink and nap time in front of fire wish I could go everyday but mum say we can only go once a week so when it's time to go I make her lift me in the car in protest but then I do love to snuggle up to pet mum and sister on the sofa when we get home Woof woof to all

Hi Aries I know how you feel about queeny the same happened to me not long after we had tinker she ran onto the main road I to was like jelly but no harm done glad all is well if this is any use to you we got a stair gate and put at the lounge door which is a great help good luck to you tinkersnan

I have brought home this beautiful girl who was speyed today. She wags her tail happily - you would not know she had had a major operation today! She is currently flat out on our lounge floor fast asleep 🙂

A few days in & what a chilled out hound Marco is! Loves to say hello after you have been out, only one little accident but in the kitchen, he is great with the cat. Love his walks, loves his sleep, and loves his food! Next stop some further training for us both! Rob..
