Dingo
I’m Homed
Well Dingo has now been with us for 2 weeks and we couldn't be happier with him. He is calm, well behaved, good with the cats and loving towards us all. He absolutely LOVES the snow and skipped through it on his walk this morning. He also loves his new squeaky toy we bought him today and hasn't put it down yet (I haven't seen him so awake). So, so glad we have him in our lives. I love you Dingo. Xx

Melody
Over the Rainbow Bridge
I think Melody passed her 'cat test' on Friday when we all came to visit - respect to the rescue cats for sitting still while they get sniffed by a series of different greys. Nothing warms your heart on a cold snowy Friday like helping to walk a grey. Also chills you out quite effectively.

Rory
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Hi everyone, just a quick update about Rory. Have spoken with Ruth today and we have agreed that it probably isn't worth bringing him down today because of the weather and likely lack of people looking to home. However if anyone does want to see him they can come to our house to see him in his environment Ruth and the guys at the kennel have our contact details. On to the lad himself, what can we say - after a week of upheaval, new home, birthday, vet visit etc... he has done us proud. He is a regular tail wagger and a real sociable chap. Have just been playing snow balls with him and he really loves nothing more than playing fetch with his ball in the garden. We have had bed swapping, water swapping and no territorial issues at all. A real great lad I will be sending some photos to Ruth soon so that she can update Facebook and you can all see what a totally relaxed dog he is

She is very quiet and good with our greys at home, totally clean in the house and sleeps all through the night. I will keep bringing her home until she is back on her feet x

Daisy (Dee)
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Just thought I would do a thundershirt update; Daisy wears it when out and about. It does seem to have a positive effect on her stress levels, but not always. She is more receptive to getting out of the car but still requires a quiet environment and absolutely no one looking at her, except me. But progress is progress. Some days she just likes to view the world from inside the car and some days she wants to feel the wind or sun, but definately not the rain (or the snow) on her nose. But even when she is out, after a few minutes she is keen to return to the security of the car. At home and in the garden she is a different dog - she has made herself a nice racetrack round the lawn and the borders. Roll on the summer so the rug gets the opportunity to be a rug again and not a pawprint art installation! Love you daisydog. xxx

Buddy (Arthur)
I’m Homed
Hi Buddys mom, Buddy sounds like he's enjoying the snow. My Daisy prefers her basket! So the wee thing - it might be a noise like the postie frightens him when you are out. Or he may just be missing you. In the early months I always give my greys an old jumper of mine in their basket or on their bed when I go out so they can smell their mum. Daisy has a toy cat in her toy basket that is supposed to retain my smell on it. But anything warm and snuggly and smelling of you may work. You may be already doing this - if not its worth a try. Just keep perservering - sometimes it can take a long time for some dogs to feel really safe and secure. xx
