Rumble is stopping at our house following his big operation today. He had undescended testicles which meant his castration was a lot more tricky. He is very settled here and I have made him a big comfy bed in the largest crate we have to restrict his movement following his op. Big cuddles to him x

Norah
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Nora is doing fantastic! She is really starting to heal now and the swelling has gone down loads. She absolutely loves her walks around the park and is clearly very happy as she skips and bounces her way around! She has met loads of other breeds and is not at all phased by them. She is now sleeping downstairs quietly with our other greys and today I left her at home and popped home lunch time to check on her - I peeped through the window and she was fast asleep on her bed! She went straight out for a wee and ran back to her bed 🙂

Sorry to hear Lola couldn't have the bandage off this time. She should have a chat with Mannie, my Brother's Greyhound. Unfortunately he has a bad paw and must have tried every colour of bandage you can think of! I think the red suits him the best! Hope Lola gets on ok on Thursday and can start wearing her boot! xxx

Oh poor Bob.... a PINK bandage....!!! I hope his corn is sorted out very soon.Lola was funny when the bandage was big - took her a while to be sure how to deal with the big foot... don't know if Bob was the same. Fingers crossed weather is OK for your appt on Friday. Lola's latest dressing is smaller (but higher) than the last 2 and is a nice shade of apple green 🙂 We wouldn't have minded pink....and might just try the rubber glove Mand.... good idea. Will report back..... xxx

Over the Rainbow Bridge
So sorry to hear this Linda. Poor Lola. All fingers and paws crossed that Thursday will bring good news at the check up. Maybe the green bandage will make all the difference 😉 Luv n Lix from Bob and Orla xxx Bob has had treatment for his corn at Daniel Doherty's in Uxbridge, so has also been sporting a HUGE bandage - looks like a golfclub - for 2 weeks. 1st was blue and last weeks was PINK!!!! We were supposed to go back today, but the Cotswold Hills were not good, the M40 was closed / stationary in places and Uxbridge copped a lot of snow overnight, so we didn't get there. Another appt on Friday. I discovered a lump just under the vet wrap today...feels like a lump of tarmac grit, but couldn't get it out and we can't take the bandage off. He seems OK though and I don't think it's bothering him as it's well padded. As you say, keeping it all bonedry is a challenge 🙂 I have fashioned a 'shoe' out of a bag and some duct tape and it has worked well with a couple of freezer bags over and then a thick carrier with more duct tape on the base so it doesn't get pierced. He did have a few slips this morning in the garden, especially when he cocked his good leg!

Ah, the green bandage, is that the neon green one? I remember that colour from when Emily had a bandage on her foot. She was disgusted and much preferred the neon pink! Glad to hear Lola's heading in the right direction. Who wants to go out for walks in this yucky weather anyway! Did you try the rubber glove turned inside out and taped to her leg with micropore for the garden visits? We found it worked for Emily, as long as she didn't try and run in it! Mand x

And it's yet another dressing on the foot - now we are sporting a nice shade of green. This time there was a bit of bleeding from the very bottom of the wound. The rest of it is healing very well. Not sure if she might have knocked it or pulled it because the dressing had also slipped down her leg a few inches which happened sometime during this morning when I wasn't looking. Back to see the nurse again on Thursday for another check ......xxx

Over the Rainbow Bridge
Henry off to dog school tonight to meet lots of greyhounds! Thanks again to the wonderful Beryl for ringing me today to offer support & training times. Sadly I won't be taking Henners tonight....someone gave me their cold when I met them at Daybreaks last Monday. Let's hope Henry enjoys himself tonight.
