We brought Arthur back with us again yesterday. Its been a terrible time for us all and we've missed Arthur terribly. We really want to make this work for all of us. We met the foster parents yesterday at the kennels who were lovely and again we cannot thank them enough for everything they've done for Arthur, whilst he was with them. Also big hugs to Norris and Misty, who allowed Arthur to stay with them. Arthur slept well downstairs and has been very quiet. Its early days for us all, but I am determind with the help of Ruth and greyhound training classes to make this work. I haven't seen my husband so happy in along time. Its good to have him home. Thanks again to everyone. xx

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

Mannie has now got a new habbit of going up to mirrors and looking at himself. He keeps thinking there another dog in there and trying to attack the mirror so we have had to put it away for now. He's so funny and has the most energectic and happy personality

Took Mannie to the park again today and walked him through the woods. He was a good boy and was loving dragging me through the mud!!! He is such a happy boy. He completly covered the car in mud and was sleeping on the way home. He's settled in really well and is a loving and loved member of the family.

    I’m Homed

Lily has been staying at the Williams house since Wednesday to see if she likes pussy cats! Her personality has definetly shown itself, she is a loving cuddly girl with a really playful side, very food orientated, so easy to train. She loves the company of other dogs and people! Getting on very well with our non grey. She will be a real asset to any home.

    I’m Homed

It was with great reluctance and not a bit of sadness that we decided to cut short Davey's foster stay with us. Although he was behaving impeccably in the house, clean every night, responding well when told "no" etc, he was becoming more and more fretful at being on his own, would not settle during the day & so was consequently so tired come the evening. Those of you that know this beautiful boy's demeanour & antics from the kennels would not have recognised him by this morning - he was so sad, withdrawn and lost that we discussed with Ruth and decided to take him back to be among his friends. The second he was back in the run with Pluto, Maggie and Ruth's gang it was like a switch had been flipped and he was the happy, bouncy boy again. Sadly, he is also the barky boy again too! If nothing else, his short spell with us proved that it is being in the kennels that makes him bark, that he thrives on the company of other greys and that he is a lovely, confident and outgoing boy who will be a great pet in the right environment. I'm just so sad that we're not in the position to have been able to bring another doggy home for him to have been with. Good luck Davey boy, you really are a special boy and you need to sell yourself better so that someone can enjoy you as part of their family. Big cuddles XXXX

Met Tinsels new owners today - very excited to be reserving her. She seemed a lovely playful girl - so beautiful with her brindle markings. Lovely to meet you all today - we were the mean owners dragging our two through the bath....!

    I’m Homed

Myself and Jess took Pluto to the Saturday training classes New Years walk.We had a very long walk over 2 hours through muddy fields and flooded roads.Pluto took everything in his stride. He loved the walk and showed no reaction to everything we saw, sheep, cows, chickens, staffie cross etc etc.He is interested in everything that is going on around him.He is such an easy going youngster who seems to get along with everyone and every grey he met today. He seems to love the company of other greys, loves to be in front and laps up attention. He will be a great addition to someones home and after todays walk he jumped into the car stretched out and fell asleep. I think we managed to tire him out and left his head spinning with all the strange new sights, sounds and smells he encounter. He is just one bundle of joy.

  • Joey (Mr Grey Face!)

    I’m Homed

Joey had a lovely visit to the kennels today for his annual bath....he was very well behaved unlike Milly who tried to climb out the bath by rearing up onto her hind legs and then sulked and turned her back on us all afterwards!! We spent New Year in Cornwall and thoroughly wore out Joey and Milly with there country cousins Abbie and Ernie (lurchers) they had a great time long walks on the moor and lots of attention. Thanks Sue for bathing them today - they smell of strawberries now!
