Couldn't believe it when I saw u returned.i was so pleased when u found a home as iv always liked you.we have never had a totally smooth time with our grey with destroying furniture and kids toys and yes it gets hard at times but they become part of your family.our neighbour hated our grey but in time (months) began to accept him sometimes but we didn't care wot they thought.good luck and big hugs Henry x

    I’m Homed

Robbie is still doing well with us. We brought the dogs squeaky toys for Xmas and Robbie loves the "sausage one", he and magic try to share it. Between them there is a lot of squeaking going on in the house. He loves his fuss and always has a wagging tail for us when we get up or when we come home from work, he is a joy to have around.

    I’m Homed

This lovely boy is so vocal in the kennels, but has not barked in any situation he has found himself in over the past 24 hours - workmen, delivery men, next doors mad barking dogs, dustbinmen and trains!! It would appear that the barking is just a reaction to being in the kennels, a way of saying "I'm here, look at me!" What has become apparent is how much he is missing the companionship of the other dogs (he was kennelled with 2 other Greys), he is really quite fed up & restless and pacing around looking for them all the time. Although very interested in food, he is good when told "no" and won't pester. In the house he behaves impeccably, no problems with stairs, household appliances etc and he is quiet and as good as gold. I think he needs to be with another dog/s for that little bit of pack security and company. He will be a fabulous addition to somebody's family.

I would like to thank everyone for your kind messages of sympathy and lovely comments. It has been a pleasure to care for Agnes, a sweet girl who didn't ask for much but seemed to enjoy her new life of pottering in the park, a little play and lots of cuddles. I'm so sad she couldn't have had more time but her old heart had other ideas. We miss her very, very much and always will. Beryl

Thought I would give you all an update... Meg came back with us to her forever home on New Year's Day and she has settled in really well (asleep with her legs in the air as I write). The whole family adore her and we all feel so lucky to have found our special girl Meg! Thank you to all who advised us and good luck to all the other doggies looking for a home.

  • Buddy (Arthur)

    I’m Homed

Arthur is fantastic hound, we have loved fostering having him here, but due to work commitments we need to return him to Ruth's care. Arthur is a very gentle hound, loves, food, walks, company and of course fuss. He has accepted Norris and Missy without problems, and not batted an eye when we've met other dogs. We do have to watch out when we are preparing food, as he has been known to try and sample it! (Especially the trifle, non alcoholic though). We would love to see him his forever home, if it were physically possible we would keep him with us. He really is easy to look after and deserves a home of his own.

I just happened to be at kennels on Agnes' adoption day & met Beryl. What a wonderful lady to give homes to the much more mature dogs that arrive. I'm so sorry for you loss but know from meeting you that Agnes had the most wonderful last year.

Davey made for his basket the second I put out the light, and settled down to sleep. He slept through the night without disturbing until I went in to see him at about 7,o-clock. As soon as I took him in the garden (on the lead) he did his toileting. He is beautiful and just wants to please ,loves to be told he is a good boy when he responds to us.
