Frankie (Jet)
I’m Homed
A year ago last Saturday, after spending 4 whole days crying at the mere thought of Sadie's litter sister being at the kennels, my husband finally took pity on me and decided to see if Frankie would fit in the boot of the car. That was the main issue as we couldn't afford to replace the car so soon! Shoehorn at the ready we took the other three up to meet her at the kennels, and after a few polite sniffs, they all jumped in the boot, and although it was a squish - she fitted! Well, that's been the story ever since, Frankie has just fitted in - not just the boot, but our lives too. She's such a cuddle monster and she can usually be found sharing a bed with one of the others. Infact Frankie was my kennel mate when I slept over at the kennels back in June! Not long after we had her she had to have 11 teeth out, and she certainly seemed a lot happier once that was done. It's funny because when she has a shake her tongue usually lolls out the side of her mouth - Sadie does this too but she has no excuse because she has all of her teeth! When I walk the dogs, I walk them in pairs, Sadie and Frankie first, then Kev and Moo. When we get to the bus stop around the corner from our house (now more appropriately named the 'fuss stop') the regulars are always waiting to see the famous (or is that infamous?!) two sisters and have a fuss! The girls happily go along to each member of the queue and have a cuddle. Unfortunately, it now means that if we go walkies at a different time, they insist on saying hello to any strangers in the queue, which means I have to explain that they think the queue is there solely for their entertainment! Thankfully, as I leave I can usually hear lots of mutterings of 'ahhh, aren't they lovely'! And of course I agree wholeheartedly! Happy (late) Gotcha day my beautiful Frankle-pankle, may we have many more together xxx

Carrie
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Carries latest new favorite thing in the world is tissue , just plain old toilet roll , Since I alway have some tissue with me ( its a kind of comfort blanket thing for me) , theres always loads readily available .. Now Teddy likes tissue too , but when he eats it , he looks almost intelligent , like hes saying " I know what im doing and I like it , leave me alone please" and thats OK but when Carrie eats it , it looks like shes malnourished and having to do it because she is starved , in one way its actually really quiet upsetting to see , but in another , its quiet funny to see knowing that shes not malnourished after a bowl of food , two carrots a chewy bone and some meatloaf , some cake and some cashew nuts that "Jaws" like mouth silently moving toward the desk to grab the tissues ! As well as telling the dentist about her last week , I was also chatting to the receptionist about how Mad Carrie is ( and they know how mad I am , I make no secret now about having to tidy the magazines when I go in and she said that we must be the perfect match !!... I think We are !

I had this once with The Stig, I'd only had him 2 weeks and as soon as he was out of the confines of a house or garden, instinct took over and he was off, didn't listen to a word I said. Off he went to the park where lots of people have little furries off the lead. Eventually got him, but it was incredibly scary and knackering. He did have a slight running speed advantage afterall! We learned that mistake very quickly with him. Hammy on the other hand also managed a quick escape, but only trotted a few yards and on hearing his lead stopped and waited for me to put it on and then take him for the walk he obviously wanted. Another lesson learned. They are so quick. The only time I let Hammy off now is at a local basketball ground where the gates can be locked and the fences all 15 ft high. Only thing is that all he wants to do is stay near me and doesn't take the advantage of trotting around freely, even if I run/walk around in different directions trying to get him to chase, he just wants to be by my side, but still I wouldn't try it out in the open. Hope this helps you realise that it's not just you and all's well that ends well. 🙂

Isla (Cornelia)
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Hello again all, Just thought we'd let you know that we've decided to call Cornlia Isla when she comes home. Also we'd like to share with you how we arrived at Isla, we thought you might find it amusing: CorNELIA = NELLIE - Don't like Nellie, too common for a princess Nellie is short for Eleanor or Helen how about Ellie? Don't like Ellie too many dogs called Ellie, we want something different, how about Isla? We both like Isla.

Oh just look at those eyebrows, they raise up beautifully. He looks so sorry for himself, but am sure he will settle in nicely, soon enough and melt someone's heart. 🙂 Look forward to an all clear on the lump

Yikes, double scary. My 2 occasionally make a bid for freedom and on every occasion have gone to the back of my car & tried to get in - LOL. Maybe Arthur could be trained in the same way, I didn't exactly train my 2 to do this btw! luv t

Walter arrived yesterday and is a big handsome fella but has a strange lump on his face just below his eye as you can see on his photo. I am sure it is nothing to worry about but I will be speaking to the vet later about it.
