Not sure who to give a cuddle to this morning as so many gorgeous greys. Message from Gemma to say she is fine, everyone likes her who meets her. Settled in lovely at Mum & Dad's. They are all looking forward to the Spa Day and will see you all then. Must decide who to cuddle today. xx

    I’m Homed

Bess is arriving back at the kennels today. She was homed in 2007 but sadly the family's other greyhound passed away a short while ago and since then, she has been toileting in the house and has become destructive. The family have young children and adopted a small breed to keep her company but this has not made any difference. The family are unable to now home another greyhound to keep her company (which may or may not be the answer as she is clearly missing her pal) so they have heartbreakingly decided it would be best to find her another home. She will be coming home with me until she finds a new home.

Kylie is an absolute treasure. She has toileted outside and had a very settled night (despite Foxy getting me up twice in the night) and just wags her tail so happily when you talk to her 🙂 She is so very sweet x

  • Mo

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

Mo is loving her new toy raggy. She decided to take raggy out in the garden with her when she went to the toilet this morning. Mo came in very proud of herself got to her bed then there was a look of horror on her face she'd left raggy in the garden in the rain. She raced outside to get raggy. Not wanting to lose raggy again Mo decided the safest place to leave raggy while she had a drink was in her water bowl. From her water bowl raggy went to her bed with her. We fortunalty managed to get raggy on the radiator while Mo was on her walk. She is such a character. The really sad thing is Mo is not getting on well with Tigger the cat so we are having to keep her muzzled when we are not around. We would love for Mo to be able to find a home where she can play with toys all day long. If you know of anyone interested in Mo please get in touch. Not only would they get to adopt the lovely Mo they would also get to adopt Raggy. Raggy is missing an ear, enjoys baths, adventures in the garden and spends most of his time amusing Mo or drying on the radiator.

Ha, ha. We had the same issue when we reserved our boy. He was called Gent in the kennels, but my other half had always said his next dog would be called Montgomery! Far too posh for me to yell in the park, so after an hour in the pub we arrived at ........ Gent! Isla is a beautiful name and looks like it'll suit her. She certainly has an emormous fan-club, so please keep us updated. Mand x

    I’m Homed

A year ago last Saturday, after spending 4 whole days crying at the mere thought of Sadie's litter sister being at the kennels, my husband finally took pity on me and decided to see if Frankie would fit in the boot of the car. That was the main issue as we couldn't afford to replace the car so soon! Shoehorn at the ready we took the other three up to meet her at the kennels, and after a few polite sniffs, they all jumped in the boot, and although it was a squish - she fitted! Well, that's been the story ever since, Frankie has just fitted in - not just the boot, but our lives too. She's such a cuddle monster and she can usually be found sharing a bed with one of the others. Infact Frankie was my kennel mate when I slept over at the kennels back in June! Not long after we had her she had to have 11 teeth out, and she certainly seemed a lot happier once that was done. It's funny because when she has a shake her tongue usually lolls out the side of her mouth - Sadie does this too but she has no excuse because she has all of her teeth! When I walk the dogs, I walk them in pairs, Sadie and Frankie first, then Kev and Moo. When we get to the bus stop around the corner from our house (now more appropriately named the 'fuss stop') the regulars are always waiting to see the famous (or is that infamous?!) two sisters and have a fuss! The girls happily go along to each member of the queue and have a cuddle. Unfortunately, it now means that if we go walkies at a different time, they insist on saying hello to any strangers in the queue, which means I have to explain that they think the queue is there solely for their entertainment! Thankfully, as I leave I can usually hear lots of mutterings of 'ahhh, aren't they lovely'! And of course I agree wholeheartedly! Happy (late) Gotcha day my beautiful Frankle-pankle, may we have many more together xxx
