Welcome to Daybreaks Talk
Welcome to the Comments Page! Here, you’ll find a chronological collection of all the comments shared by our community about the greyhounds looking for their forever homes, our events, and other updates. It’s a wonderful space to see what others are saying, share your thoughts, and be part of the conversation as we work together to find loving families for these amazing dogs.
This page also highlights the incredible efforts of our dedicated volunteers, whose love and commitment make everything we do possible. From caring for the dogs to organizing events and fostering a supportive community, our volunteers are at the heart of Daybreaks. Their passion and hard work ensure that every greyhound receives the attention, care, and second chance they deserve.

Derry
I’m Homed
Pleased to say the lovely Derry was clean overnight and, after a bit of wandering about, slept in his basket nicely. He was really nervy yesterday, everything was so overwhelming for him, but what a difference a day makes. After initially backing away, he ventured up the stairs and has spent some time playing with a toy - it's lovely to see him gradually coming out of his shell as he is such a gentle, trusting boy. Plenty of patience and TLC and this boy will be a stunner. x

Derry is settling in well. Today has been all about overcoming his nervousness and teaching him to play.

Macca
I’m Homed
Happy Gotcha Day to my beautiful, big, black boy. Macca has taken over our lives completely - just at it should be - and he is absolutely perfect (weeelll, the recall still needs a bit of work!). So thank you daybreaks for allowing us to give a home to the (we think!) best, most handsome and most loving dog in the world

Happy Gotcha Day Emily! Can't believe another 12 months have passed and it's now 2 years since you launched into our lives. You get funnier and funnier every day and I forgive you for for creeping up behind me last night when I was hoovering and frightening the life out of me when I realised you were there! Love you baby-girl. Mama x
