Over the Rainbow Bridge
Hi Sylv, hope you are all ok. Unfortunately I won't be going on the Kingsbury walk, but I will be at the Daybreaks Birthday party at the end of the month. I am looking forward to seeing the plaque in memory of your lovely Mindy. Are you and John going? Kate and Twiggy xxx

Jack
Over the Rainbow Bridge
This is wonderful. Jack heading off in afew weeks to his new home. Remit has clearly provided the perfect foster home, for lovely snuggly Jack, Id just like to say well done and thankyou. Having fostered myself its so rewarding watching them go off, but also bitter sweet, because we are only human, love dogs and want to keep them!! Also to daybreaks kennels for finding foster homes for the dogs in need of a 'non kennel' environment. Clare x

The little darling had a brilliant night. He slept in his crate without making any fuss. He was determined to master climbing the stairs this morning - which he did after a while. He still needs to master coming down, bless him, but he'll get there.

Yes, Jack's new owner seemed lovely when I met her today at kennels. He really does seem like the ideal dog for her in every way and I hope the home check goes well. Jack will be staying with us until Daybreaks reopens, then he'll be heading off! I will be really sad to see him go, but I am so happy that he has found a permanent home quickly. =)

Fire
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Fire Alert: (LOL) Fire is getting along nicely with my two other boy greys. He sleeps soundly and has been problem-free during night time. He is clean and would do his business outside. His fluffy obsession is still a work in progress. Fire and I are training hard to lessen this fixation and hopefully be successful in being tolerant around fluffy things/animals. I've also decided to give him three small meals a day as he seems a lot calmer in between feedings. He could also use a bit more weight as Ruth mentioned. Apart from that, he is the sweetest thing. He loves cuddles, kisses, and belly rubs. He is a big boy who thinks he's a chihuahua as he loves lying beside you and rest his head (or body) on your lap. My boys are teaching him the life of retirement gradually as all three greys would love snoozing together as a pack and run around or investigate things in our garden. There was one funny moment with Fire. Both he and my grey Floppy were barking by the back door seeing a squirrel in the garden. Then after a while, Fire put his head on Floppy's back and still barking! Hahaha, what a character! He is still learning the routines at home but he is showing promise. - Myrna 🙂

Well I don't want to speak too soon but Aztec was just a superstar on his walk. He didn't react to the dogs we saw (although they were a little distance away, Magic still reacted) and better still he didn't make a peep when when we approached a cat. The other four were going nuts and he just stood there. I'm just praying that he continues not to be swayed by our thugs haha. He's a gentle giant. Well done beautiful boy xxxxx

Aztec is settling in ok. Had a good mooch round the garden and the house, thought he hasn't mastered the stairs yet. He looks like he wants to but is unsure at the mo. He's enjoyed a quater chicken and figured out what to do with it fairly quickly. He lay down and closed his eyes a few times. Mick is in the crate haha, Magic had a turn also. Aztec hasn't though!! Strange thing he hasn't lay down on a bed or the sofa yet just one the wooden floor bless him. Maybe he will when he's a bit more settled. He's such a lovely lad. xxxxx

Larry
Over the Rainbow Bridge
I walked Larry yesterday and he was soooo good. He's a big handsome black boy but was easy peasy with those manic labs like kallie says below. I have 2 girls and one of them can (on her bad days) react to other breeds so it was a pleasure to have Larry with me as I didn't have to do anything! I hope someone comes along soon and recognises his charms and gives him a home of his own xxx

Jack
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Jack is settling more as the days go by. He loves his walks and loves his food - especially the chews and treats! This morning we had a bit of a stairs adventure though. Our two had dashed upstairs to the top floor to see my mum and I followed to go talk to her as well. Jack decided that he wanted to be a part of things as well and climbed the stairs onto the landing. He didn't brave the ones up to my mum's room though. I heard him whining and came down to see him on the landing, which did surprise me as I thought he was still in the hallway. He was standing in my bedroom doorway and when I went to go give him a stroke, he turned around, hopped onto my bed and flopped onto my pillows. Clearly he thinks my bed is now the place to be. (Needless to say he had just been in the garden, so now I have muddy paw prints all over my sheets!) If my let next year allowed pets I would be seriously considering adopting Jack, he is just perfect in every way. (I have actually messaged the letting company about it, but I am not expecting them to say yes - still hoping though.)
