perhaps one of the work experience youngsters from Solihull College might be able to identify a lecturer. Or it would be great if Andre the greyhound vet could be persuaded or one of his nurses or a nurse from FIVELANDS

I wonder if I should have a look and see if someone can come to us (eg Hobs Moat) and do a first aid course geared towards greys - if we have enough numbers it would make sense. I was tempted to do the intructor training course myself and then offer it as a fundraising event(s) but I think if I try and do any more study I WILL have a nervous breakdown! If Cinders doesn't mind us hijacking Tippie's page, please can anybody who might be interested please let me know here? Or alternatively you can contact me on emma.bryce@rgtperrybarr.co.uk

Glad to hear that Amber seems to be sorted for foster care. She would love it here - with Kev, Sadie and Frankie to bomb around and play with, and Moo for more sedate cuddles. And not forgetting how good she was when she met my cats for cat testing all those months ago. Unfortunately I know I would be a RUBBISH foster mum as I wouldn't give her back, and that might be a problem as my hubby would definitely divorce me! Good luck Amber xxx

Catching up after weekend away and have sadly just found the news about Iris. We had the pleasure of meeting Jill, Paul, Iris, not forgetting Shawna, when we decided to have a dog!!! It soon turned into we must have a greyhound!!! Iris was a big factor in this decision, yes okay and you Shawna, she was SOOOO cuddly and completly won over hubby, no. 2 son, even no.1son was almost convinced! So THANK YOU Iris for doing such a good job, due to you we have 2 of your friends living with us, so run free Iris, you were a star xxxx Jill and Paul, words can't express what you did for Iris, giving her the most amazing last year of her life, you are amazing, take care, love n hugs to you both n big cuddles for ALL your greys xxx

So pleased Evi is ok. Twiggy has trouble with pigs ears sometimes too, I like the sound of the vegetarian ones! A first aid course sounds like a great idea. I would be interested too if there was somewhere local to attend. xxx

  • Hammy

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

Hammy has been diagnosed with Campylobactar and I'm collecting his meds today. Glad that we now know what is causing his upset and can do something about it, but have been made aware that he may always be a carrier and therefore have relapses. His personality is also starting to shine and I think once the meds kick in, it will sow more and more. So my slippers are no longer safe (even when still on my feet) and he has finally decided he's too curious to avoid the stairs and the wonder that lays above. My bed was yesterday christened with lots of black hairs!!! So back to closing doors, me thinks! 😉
