    I’m Homed

Thought I'd giv u an update on how alfies gettin on. Well he is doin fantastic, gettin more confident everytime I c him. He comes too the kennels every Friday with his mom Laura n loves all the doggy company. He comes up n says hello too the people he knows now especially if there is a treat goin n me n my 2 dogs walk home with him n his mom from the kennels. Last Friday alfie was lovin seeing my two run around elmdon park so I suggested he might want too hav a run aswel. Laura really wanted too let him of but was understandably nervous but I persuaded her to go across the field with treats in hand n I let him go. He ran at full speed too his mommy n it was so lovely to see n then I called him back to me, he came closely followed by my Charlie chasing him n barking his head off lol. Well neither alfie or Charlie seem to hav mastered the stop n so ran at 30 plus mph straight into my legs knocking me to the ground n it was bloody painful n I'm still feelin it now 5 days on, how they didn't break my legs I don't kno but they were fine n it was all worth to see him havin fun n waging his tail. He had a few more races with Charlie n said hello to a few other dogs n then walked lovely off lead by his mommys side. He is really turning it to a fab, more relaxed boy thanx to the love of Laura n her partner n he's even starting to show his cheeky side at home. ps - I think Ruth is really great!

    I’m Homed

our first proper day together and Daisy has been an absolute poppet, there is no way that she will ever leave this home again, she is here to stay for good. the boys adore her and McKenzie even allowed her to eat out of his bowl (never heard of before) she climbed into Toby's soft cage with him to give him a lick and even Rossi the grump has had lots of kisses from her. she ran out into the hall to greet her dad when he came home from work and made a fuss of him like she has always lived here. out walking she is golden, does not react to anything and trots alongside Toby just nicely, a pleasure to have the two out together. we are all very lucky that Toby fell in love with Daisy, i shall sign her up next time i am down the kennels 🙂 xxxx

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

day 2 (cont'd): What a day!! First thing we went of to the vets. Hammy was fine until one dog kept whining and fussing and then Hammy did the same, but 10 fold! But, once in with the vet he was calm again. his booster went without a hitch and both the vet and nurse made sure he was under no illusions that he has a lot to live up to as they were so fond of Stig. Poor Hammy 😉 Then we went for a long walk and he met a GSD. At first he was very excitable and whining and high pitch barking, but once they went nose to (muzzled) nose, he had a good sniff and then was almost instantly calm again. Then I went to get his new collar and name tag and left him in the house for around 40 mins and he was perfectly fine again. No accident, nothing chewed or displaced. I've had a toothbrush to him this afternoon and he is tucking into a nice chewy bone. So all in all, he is doing very very well and we are getting to know each other and our foibles 😉
