Jack
Over the Rainbow Bridge
My handsome boy put the biggest smile on my face today. I took him for a walk in Kings Heath park - all seemed quiet so I took him into the old grass tennis court enclosure. I made sure the exits were covered and let him off his lead for the first time. All I can say is WOW! Watching Jack run at full speed brought a huge lump to my throat and seeing him go like the clappers gave me the happiest feeling and put the biggest smile on my face since this wonderful dog came to live with me. It was quite intimidating when he came running back towards me at full speed, so much so that he ran straight past me and out into the open park. I simply called his name and he stopped dead in his tracks and allowed me to walk over and put his lead back on - what a superstar! He's going to need this new exercise regime now - I've been leaving Kongs for him during the week and he loves what I put in them so much, he's started eating the Kong as well! I think he's now developed a peanut butter addiction! I took him to training today too so he could have a catch up with some of his friends and was very well behaved. I'm so proud of my Jack and he's adored by all who meet him - even those odd 'non-dog' types. Millie thinks he's boring, Jack thinks she's a headcase but they play so well together and they really look forward to their daily meet. I can't wait to let him loose again tonight or tomorrow.

A-MAZING!!!!! This fella is so good it is not true! Sleeps all night, toilets outside, no accidents inside, eats his dinner, doesn't try stealing food from the others and then goes straight back to his bed. His tummy is still quite swollen and very bruised following his operation but he is bright and wagging his tail.

Ruby was picked up directly from the vets yesterday after her spey and has spent the night at ours. She loves laying by the front door and hasn't moved all night! She wasn't bothered at all by the fireworks going off either 🙂 Such a sweetheart

Smurf is beautiful, quite small for a boy. Whenever you say hello to him he puts his head to one side, so cute.
