my heart really went out to this poor little girl when I saw her today. What an emotional time she's been having poor baby, first loosing her friend, then her home of three years, she must be so shell shocked bless her. Really hope she finds a home soon. (I must say, she does look comfy on that sofa 🙂 )x

I have 2 pigs, kept outside in summer & inddors in winter. Ny 2 greys love them - but have yet to try & eat them. They really only get interested if the pigs move around - wonder why???? Ha Ha, we manage just fine, I just partially cover the indoor cage so the dogs walk on by without noticing too much and have never tried to have the pigs out with the dogs around.

What a lovely photo of Ruby and her new family. Sounds like you have an open invitation Ruth to visit any time and looks like Ruby will be really loved, so don't be too sad. Mand x

I'm a member of the Jake Fan Club too. He is a stunning boy, very distinguished and seemed to be the most chilled out fella to me. He was very grateful for the Dentastix I bought him and wagged his tail round and round (yes really, round and round like a helicopter!). I loved him and felt like whisking him away myself. Go and see for yourself, he's an absolute smasher! Mand x

Oh bless her, great to hear how well she's settled in. I was visiting the kennels for some food for our two when you and your Mum took her for a walk and reserved her (I might have been tempted to snaffle her away myself had you not have reserved her!). It was plain to see that she had 'picked' you and your Mum and even more obvious to see how much you were going to love her. Glad to hear things are going well and that she was a star at your Dad's nursing home - I bet everyone there will want her visiting all the time. Take care. Mand x

When I first began to rehome greyhounds I had a guinea pig and a naughty rabbit! After an initial sniff through the hutch Bobby soon lost interest, each of mine have had different reactions to small fluffies, some positive some negative, it boils down to the personality of the dog, don't let it put you off rehoming a greyhound, with patience and a bit of work they can live harmoniously together.

Dear Aunty Ruth, I was so sorry to see you upset when I left today so just wanted to let you know that Im absolutely fine. Ive met my new nan and grandad who think Im very cute (ofcourse) and Im now in my new home, curled up in the living room in my big, pink fluffy bed which I quite like 🙂 My new friend Copper seems to like his new bed lots too! Ive been on a walk around the field opposite my new home with my new mom which was full of lots of exciting smells and sights and my new dad will be taking me again before bed time. not that I am EVER emotional..... but I was in tears today when a home was offered to the most beautiful, gentle girl I had fallen for. If it wasn't for the fact that I already have 6 and also bring many of the kennel dogs home with me such as returnees or post ops, she would have become a permanent fixture here. However, I know the wonderful Beryl will be able to offer her a wonderful home - she just wants a comfy bed, and lots and lots of TLC which I know she will be guaranteed. Thank you Beryl xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I’m Homed
I have brought Jet home with me tonight as I couldn't bear to leave her at the kennels after having had 3 years in a home. She was homed in November 2008 returned because she has been having toileting accidents in the house and aggression towards other dogs out on walks. On the way home, I took her to meet Kerry's cats and she was so very good with them. She is at present curled up and fast asleep at ours. She is such a small grey. I was told by the family returning her that they had recently lost their other grey. I guess her toileting could have been due to her upset at losing her greyhound friend.... who knows..... I hope she finds a home soon.

Tink
I’m Homed
Hi the brownies, Tink has settled really well, its like she has always been here 🙂 Sid & Tink have had a couple of growls and barks over a toy and raw hide, so we have put them away for now and only getting them out when we are with them. She is real character though and gorgeous with it. She has been nibbling at Sid's neck, is this normal as didnt know whether she was going to bite him or kiss him? Suex
