Its Sid's 4th day with us..He is doing well and doesnt seem bothered about the cat much,although last night the cat bolted past the kitchen and Sid did try to chase him.It was all okay,the cat was abit shocked but he went to sleep after.Its weird Sid seems to stay in one room all the time..do you think he is scared to come anywhere else? i know it is still early days but its strange that he wont come anywhere else in the house...apart from that he is such a lovely dog but very lazy when we take him for walks he doesnt want to get up from his bed we have to tempt him with a treat in the garden before we take him,Is it bad that we do that just to take him for a walk?

Why do some other dog owners think that it is ok for them to intice their dog to provoke yours!! Just taken ellie for a lovely walk to the yew tree to drop off my 2 boys at cricket training, walking back and 2 men with a pit bull type dog thought it would be funny to let their dog pretend to attack ellie, she is allways muzzled on her walks because she does not like other breeds of dogs up close to her, so of cause her instict is to get very aggressive , which made this other dog worse, the foul words from these two idots i can not print. sorry guys but i had to have a rant, ellie is 11rs old and my self and her do not need irrisponsible dog owners to wind us up.!!!!

Message from Hamish: "Dear friends, thank you very much for all your kind comments and good wishes. After my first foster Mum Jayne told me that she and her family were going off to Wales for a few weeks, I looked around for a new person to look after me and found him in the kitchen at Daybreaks! Although he had his hands full at the time with my sister-to-be Kaiah and my brother-to-be Brook, I did my best to impress him by being extra friendly and asking for lots of cuddles and treats. Then I had a quiet word with Auntie Ruth and she said I could be fostered by Chris, to see how we all got on. Well of course, once I'd checked out my new accommodation and found everything to be in order, I spent a lot of time trying hard to please everyone (especially Brook who was a bit unsure of the situation) by eating all my meals on time, sleeping quietly throughout the nights, staying off Kaiah's sofa and Brook's chair, acting as house guard dog when anyone that I didn't know approached the house, and being polite to nearly all the dogs that I met when we were out and about. Well, it's all paid off and you can see from the photo who's really in charge here....ME!! Lots of love, Hamish

Really sorry to hear the sad news about lucy, i am glad i was able to spend time in Wales with her on the beach and lots of walks she was full of life . My thought are with Beryl and her family, i am sorry the end came so soon. miss you loopy lou. xxxxxxx

Hope all is going well with Goldie and the cats .... it can take time for 'everyone' to adjust and 'gel' as with humankind'! I have 3 whoofs, 2 cats and 5 guinea pigs and it has taken time for all to be at one ... our grey Connie will now go up to the guinea pig cage sniff and lick them so gently!!! hope all goes well given time and training jx
