When I saw her at the Open Day in July she was such a happy waggy-tailed girl. I don't believe she is sad as Greyhounds are used to living in a kennel environment with other dogs. The photographs are perhaps a little misleading. I have some great ones of her at the Open Day, one of which I sent to Ruth. I'm very, very tempted but it would depend on my other dog who is extremely submissive to the point of being frightened of some dogs and has quite serious arthritic problems which make him feel somewhat vulnerable, accepting her. Also, I'm going on holiday next month for almost three weeks. I will still have access to the internet while I'm away so Nancy will get her usual morning cuddle.

Such a shame for these 2, Tia looks so gentle and Mido a bit of a character! I'm sure someone will take them to a lovely home soon.

I picked up Goldie from the vets this evening following her spey. Her leg is a little swollen still following her recent hock injury which retired her from racing. Sadly she has also had to be stitched today as she was bitten before going to the vets - what a leaving pressie from her racing kennels mate! I popped one of my sweatshirts on her whilst she was on the van to stop her attacking her stitches and she is now at our house and has settled down on her big comfy duvets! I will update with better photos tomorrow in the daylight! Her trainer told me she is really very beautiful and I have to agree - she is stunning! I am going to enjoy giving her a lot of TLC until she finds a home.

Oh goodness - have we been given the right dog?! She is so quiet and good at Daybreaks - we don't know we have got her! She is so very sweet and gentle - just loves her food and scoffs it very very quickly - a breeze for giving her tablets as she just doesn't notice them tucked away in her dinner!

Sunny seems 2 be settling in reasonable well but has been a bit destructive and destroyed all the dog toys. He's not endearing himself with the other half tho after destroying his beloved 'Monkey' 2day. He's been pulling a lot whilst walking on the lead so i popped into daybreaks 2day 2 get an anti-pull harness and he was like a different dog when i took him 4 a walk with it on. Fingers crossed he continues 2 settle down n become a bit less destructive x

hii chunky sue! I helped look after sue whilst she was racing. This beautiful big girl is full of life, very bouncy, shes always jumping up and down on the spot rather than up u 🙂 she has a very unusual bark its high pitch, i could always tell when it was her barking! she loves her cuddles and a nice scratch under the belly and behind the ear! hope you have a lovely long and happy retired life chunky girl 😀 xx

Teddy doesn't bark much at all. He's actually quiet in his kennel n will usually only bark wen the leads come out for a walk or wen he sees the bowls of food coming out for meal time. He certainly isn't a constant barker, quite the opposite. He is a lovely boy. X

My Millie barked a lot with excitement when I first met her. She does still bark when excited but it's not constant or anything, most breeds bark a lot more than greyhounds anyway I find. Once they settle, so does the barking, he probably wouldn't need to bark much in a home environment x

Lovely! There is one of this colour which lives near me. I often admire it when I drive past on my way home from work sometimes. Very unusual, Would look lovely with a shinny black mate 😉 x
