I've got a whippet who destroys anything plastic or 'stuffed'. Kongs are good ... if filled under supervision (in a multiwhoof home), nylon bones and I allow 'rope' toys, again under supervision .. so I am in charge of them!!! don't know whether that is of any use! Jx Glad the harness did the trick

Wow, its a year today since I brought you home my handsome boy. Your still an absolute sweety, never up nor down. Kind and very gentle, lazy beyond belief (well deserved retirement I mean) and loving in your own quiet way. Your the best and I love you loads. luv mum

What a wonderful boy this is, a welcome member to any family as he is quite calm (has moments of madness when excited) he likes to cuddle the girls and really knows how to relax with feet in the air. This darling boy will give you love and be your friend forever x x x x

this is my beautiful girl goldie! she was my favourtie at the kennels, unfortunatly due to her early retirement i wasnt aloud to have her at home as im going to uni in september! I love this grey, she would always greet me with great enthusiasm especially on a monday when she hadnt seen me for a few days, as soon as i opened the door her paws would be on my shoulder, tail wagging and wanting some fuss and in the winter she wouldnt get off her bed unless i gave her a cuddle and a belly scratch. Even when she dislocated her hock and was in a splint she still managed to jump all over me and try and play which made it vertially impossible to clean out her kennel, she would start sniffing at my pockets to see what treats i had for her! it was a very sad day when she got injured but even then on the track she turned round and came running (limping slightly) at me wagging her tail as if to say 'I'm sorry for not finishing the race' she is truly amasing, one in a million greyhound, and i hope that her new owners will keep in touch with us at the corbett kennels 🙂 . i was upset to see her go but i know she will find a loving home! good luck goldikova! i will never forget you! all my love aimee xxx

When I saw her at the Open Day in July she was such a happy waggy-tailed girl. I don't believe she is sad as Greyhounds are used to living in a kennel environment with other dogs. The photographs are perhaps a little misleading. I have some great ones of her at the Open Day, one of which I sent to Ruth. I'm very, very tempted but it would depend on my other dog who is extremely submissive to the point of being frightened of some dogs and has quite serious arthritic problems which make him feel somewhat vulnerable, accepting her. Also, I'm going on holiday next month for almost three weeks. I will still have access to the internet while I'm away so Nancy will get her usual morning cuddle.
