Cookie is soooo adorable and pretty, I think she would fit into our family lovely 🙂 I'm working on the other half letting us take you on a trial!! He's abit reluctant having another as Davey and Lucy are so settled together!! (He was like this about having two though, and the boys and I got round him lol) Davy and lucy are your auntie and Uncle too so I think you'd be a perfect new addition!! I'm working on it cookie!!!! xx

Before choosing a dog people should really consider if they are ready to commit a 100% to them and not give up at the first hurdle!! If you are the slighest bit unsure then you shouldn't offer a dog a home in the first instance!! It's unfair to take a dog out of kennels, put them into a home, and then return them because you've changed your mind!!! A dog needs time, love, and commitment, and the rewards are endless. I would never consider returning my two lovely grey's, weve worked through issusses they've both had and it's been worth all the hard work. After all none of us are perfect 2 legged or 4!! xxx

Will Tippie be at Daybreaks on Monday by any chance? We'd like to come across then if we can. We feel so terribly sorry for her, and so upset and shocked for Wizard whom we remember very well from when we came across to find a dog and settled on Mia.

So glad Aimee (Linda) is doing so well although am not surprised cos she is gorgeous. We took her to Solihull riding club when she was at the kennels and she was so lovely - she attracted some attention and a couple she met went on 2 adopt 3 greys (good on yer Sarah and Mark)!! And I was so glad 2 meet u and Crufts - oh I love happy endings x

Wizard
I’m Homed
Wizard is now where he belongs and we must now concentrate on his future and not dwell too much on his past, I am absolutely sure that a loving home is out there for him, thanks to Alison, Ruth and all at Daybreaks he will soon be back to the beautiful boy we know and love.

We are very proud of girls, Aimee came 5th in the Junior Handling Class at a charity dog show yesterday, she was so well behaved even when the owner of a minature long haired chihuahua came and stood by her in the show ring (Aimee did start licking her lips!) Her big sister Bonnie came 4th in the prettiest girl class. Both girls get on very well, Aimee has helped Bonnie to become more confident, we wouldnt be without our girls now, they are both a much loved part of our family.xxxx

Wizard
I’m Homed
A quick update on Wizard as there is obviously a lot of concern out there. Ruth has given me a lot of high nutrition food and advice on feeding Wizard to bring him back to full strength. He has already settled well, renewed his friendship with Rowan and Gracie, been flirted at by Tippie (who is a darling) and played with some toys, which was marvellous to see. He is following me around quite a lot and is asleep at my feet as I type. I see this as an good sign that he has not lost faith in humans despite his experience. As has been said below, thank goodness for Ruth and Daybreaks being there to take Wizard back and give him the chance to be cared for and found a more suitable home. The 5 cuddles he has received today have been passed on and more xxx

another story that breaks my heart, why do people not care for their dogs? we make it totally clear to them what their needs are and yet we see more and more of our gracious beauties returned in terrible condition,...it's simply unforgivable, good luck gorgeous little Tippie when you get your teeth sorted and lots of love to you. xxxxx

Colin
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Hi Folks! hope everybody is ok, Colin is sorry to hear about his pal "Wizard" - and says to keep his chin up - a new mum and dad will be along shortly! We'd help if we could but 2 dogs in our house is enough for us at the minute. Colin has been to the local vets to register today, had a weigh-in (a healthy 31.5kg), and is booked in for his dental on the 20th May - we were going to do it the week before but that would be friday the 13th..........hmm! Anyway, a big love to everybody at Daybreaks from Colin, Ellie and us! ps. Colin says can Ruth let him know when she secures the new "fenced off field" so he can have a nice safe run now and again? Cheers all! X X

Olive
Over the Rainbow Bridge
She's getting on beautifully! She's great with other dogs, loves her cuddly toys and we're loving life. We took her to Anglesey last week and we were staying in a lighthouse and she got on very well with the irish wolfhound in the cottage nextdoor. We also took her down to the bay where she splashed about in the water. She looked just like a dolphin when she came bounding out! She loved chasing ducks and seaguls and had a great time! We lost our last dog Casey and we have been grieving for a while but Olive has made our lives so much more happier 🙂 <3
