Hi Mutty22jaf, Lucy was homed by a member of the syndicate who owned her as a racer and therefore wasn't homed through the RGT. This is why she wasn't speyed already. In answer to annie - mammory tumours are common in females who haven't been speyed and this is one of the reasons (other than unwanted pregnancies) that they are neutered before homing.

It is a shame when they have to leave the home they love but at least he was returned to kennels, and not turned onto the streets or abandoned; tied up outside a pound. He is in the right place. Hope you find the right home soon lovely boy. x

She has nice clean teeth now and has been speyed. The edges of her ears have scabs on them so she has had a skin scrape to find out what the problem is. Hopefully the cream given will soothe them and she will feel much better soon.

Funny name for a black boy. What a shame he is no longer in a home....he looks very handsome though....think I would have camped out with him in someone's back garden rather than give him up he's sooo lovely 😉 x

I brought Katy home last night as she had been sick again and was very quiet and subdued. She was checked over by the vets and has been started on some antibiotics as her temperature is a bit high. She seems brighter today already and has eaten a bit of breakfast and has wagged her tail a few times 🙂

Lucy had the mammary tumour removed yesterday, was speyed and had a few teeth out. She is a bit brighter today and ate her breakfast and has settled well.
