Use dial a dog wash for bathing and grooming greys (www.dialadogwash.com). They were fantastic dealing with my very timid grey Lady (Gypsy) I was even allowed to watch the whole process. They groomed her in a heated van on my drive, she loved every minute of it. She looked and smelled gorg and even licked the lady goodbye .

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

The results should be through tomorrow from the vets..... I am keeping my fingers crossed so much that the lump in her neck is nothing serious........ she is such an adorable and beautiful little girl. She is curled up fast asleep at our house happily full from sausage cake made by Kerry!

  • Santa

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

Just to add an update on Santa who is an absolute sweetie. He is still quite nervous when out but nowhere near as bad as he was. He is getting used to the regular dog walkers that we meet and will even let some of them stroke him. He is also starting to show his personality and runs around the garden with the other dogs and around the house, usually with one of our shoes in his mouth, which he them leaves in anyones bed or in the middle of the lounge. We are so glad we decided to take on this "unhomable" dog to give him a chance to be a dog and not just a commodity.

  • Marty (Mars Bar/Sprout)

    I’m Homed

Just to let you all know how Marty is doing. He has setteled in really well, is eating like a horse and generally enjoying life. I tried leaving him by going out in the garden to clean out our chickens. Although he watched me go out and could not see me (but I could hear him) he didn't make a sound. He obviously needs the company of at least one other dog - here hes got four!!! We have tried our special balm on the sore spots he had ( on his neck, ear and the top of his tail) and they are clearing up really well. If anyone wants to try it, it is called Comfrey and Calendula balm from Dorwest veterinary - Dorwest Herbs Ltd - they are on the internet.

  • Chillie

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

When adding a second sometimes it can be difficult. Were quite lucky on how chilled out Rolo is to put up with a very young and excitable Chillie, but she is so loving with us and with him, I guess it is finding the right grey to suite yours, We know after a bad experience that they should pick eachother and we shouldn't push one dog onto another one. We go to a field that is just walking distance away from our house in Bewdley, they have an entrance and it also goes onto another field under a pole. But thankfully we have got there re-call sorted so they dont run off unless they see another dog, the two fields are very big so when we first started taking them in there we used the back field which has no exits, its great till we can get there re-call stronger when they see another dog (good luck to us eh!!) Manda x

    I’m Homed

Hi Aunty Ruth, Aunty Ina and Aunty Zoe Just thought I'd write to you while Mummy's not looking. I had a good night's sleep in a comfy basket last night with my new found friends. We got up early this morning and then after a tasty breakfast we all got our coats on and got in the car. Mummy and Daddy took us to Brueton Park. Casper and I walked Daddy and Jenson walked Mummy and Leo and Piper just ran round like mad looking for squirrels :). I am quite tired now so I'm going to lie down for a while. Reuben xxx P.S Mummy has said that when her arm is out of plaster she will take me to training on a Saturday morning where I will meet even more friends
