Pulling on a lead is an easy issue to resolved but requires patience and repetition. I am a petite woman (barely making 5 feet tall, lol) with a big strong greyhound who pulls the lead when I first got him 3 years ago at Daybreaks. I was shown how to use his own lead around him to served like a harness to have a stronger grip on him and prevents him from dragging me. Through listening, reading and watching dog experts on tv advise on "pulling" issues, my greyhound Dennis is easy on the lead during our walkies now. It took me only a few weeks to correct this but I invested on time and repetition. Now I am walking 2 big greyhounds around our neighbourhood, parks, town centres, and almost everywhere. People I've passed by seems amazed how I can walk 2 dogs that are practically bigger than me, lol. Some even teased me that maybe I should put saddles on them...hehe. A little time and patience works wonders which everyone wanting to adopt a greyhound or any other pet should always think about and invest in. The rewards are truly satisfying. As for you Reuben, the right family will come someday. My other grey Floppy was returned three times before I met him. Enjoy the fuss at Daybreaks at the moment, you will get snagged in no time. 🙂 XXX

After a lot thought and umming and arrghing, and despite the fight. We have decided to give Ellie(Becky) a permanent home. Over the last few days there hasn't been any grumbles untill we just got home. Gracie gave out a big growl, she received a sprayed noise and escorted outside for 5 mins. Upon returning inside she was better, so hopefully within time she will fully accept Ellie. We couldn't bring ourselves to return Ellie back, she is such a quiet and well behaved girl in the house. Thanks to everyone who has given advise on how to handle the situation, will keep you posted on the progess.

Both Dreamer & Tom are in harnesses even though Dreamer doesn't pull unless theres a cat or squirrel about.Tom was very keen to start with but by using a harness calmed him down alot(unless theres a black labrador in sight). So easy to use and easy to put on.

How sad :0( I can't recommend a harness enough - we still use it on Kev and it is worth it's weight in gold. And of course the training sessions - that goes without saying for any dog. Good luck Reubes xxx

Reuben is being returned today because he is pulling on his lead when out on his walks. Sadly for Reuben, his owners have declined our help with a training harness and training sessions which would help resolve this.
