During our walk last night we encountered a small dog and Craig was definitely not happy. Glad that my daughter held on to him and I had the other two. Hopefully with time and lots of TLC he will get better. He couldn't wait this morning for us to come down stairs so he decided to come up - which is not allowed but it was quite funny watching my daughter trying to get him downstairs when all he wanted to do was snoop around upstairs. The three of them are still getting on well and last night Dill curled up on the two seat sofa and Lyonell and Craig shared the three seater. Good job we were going to bed cos there was no where for us to sit - lol

Oh dear, never mind Reuben, a beautiful youngster like you won't find it hard to bag a new home. I find that I don't notice my 3 when they are curled up (on the sofa!) which is 99% of the time. People often come to my house and say "I thought you had dogs?" and are then surprised when I point out the 3 snoozing bundles on various bits of furniture. The only time I can't move for greys is when it is walkies or dinner time - then they are always under my feet!

Ha ha, oh bless her! I'll bet you had a fright! Moo likes to lie on her back with her legs in the air and a big grin on her face - if it weren't for the soppy position, she'd look quite menacing with all her teeth on show!

Haha....we know that one.....it looks a bit alarming at first until you see the tail wagging furiously. This is exactly what Lola does! Does Lulu also smack you with her front legs at the same time as wagging and baring teeth cos that's the other part of our Lola's meet and greet routine? (Lena on the other hand just runs around frantically grabbing toys....) x

I had to share this with everyone! last night I came home from work to the happy dog dance from my two greys! I looked down at Lulu and nearly jumped out of my skin she was baring all her teeth, but then I looked again and she was wagging her tail so hard it couldn't possibly be aggression. After a bit of research I have discovered I have myself a little smiler!! I glad she's so happy even if it was a bit disconcerting for a minute 🙂

How nice that someone thought carefully about adopting a dog before they actually had taken a dog home and they hopefully considered the time and effort that they may need to put into educating a dog into its new life as a retired hound - it doesn't happen overnight and we explain this so why do people still expect dogs to just understand?? Like everyone at Perry Barr I will do all I can to help keep dogs in homes when their new owner really loves them and wants to work with us to keep the dog with them if they are having problems. I am constantly upset and angry at the amount of people who expect a dog to just 'fit in' with their life style or people who will not ask or take the advice that we freely offer - then its the dog that suffers and it's tarred with a reputation that it does not deserve and may put other people off homing what is a very nice dog. It may be that the dog is so frightened that people not as experienced with greyhounds as us at Perry Barr may totally misdiagnose what they see and tell you to put the dog down immediately - thank God the greys always belong to Perry Barr. We're always here to help! Julie

That is so sad (you were going to have your own sofa too) I agree even though greys are big you still don't know they're there most of the time because they are so quiet. My friend came to visit this week and said it was like having 3 black ghosts. Absolutely right Donna we've been trained to sit on the floor too, but after their long hard careers they need a bit of comfort and luxury too so we don't mind. All the best sweetheart I hope your forever home is just round the corner. Love the Neals
