She learnt toilet training very quickly when she was at our house following her spey. She is back at the kennels now but I am sure she will pick up her training quickly - she is such a clever girl!

Poor Miles, his owner has been admitted to hospital and won't be out for the foreseeable future and the family have asked me to find a new home for him.

Both of you are true stars and do something I certainly couldn't emotionally do. Joe is in the best place possible for him and couldn't be living anywhere better. Our thoughts are always with you at this sad time and kisses for Joe. Amy, Helen, Monty xxx

I am over the moon that 'my' beautiful boy has been picked... you get a soft spot for a certain grey and he is the one at the moment. I can't wait to get to the kennels in the morning to give him a cuddle. He has the most wonderful mum and dad waiting for him!

Ruth and Rob. What would dogs do without you. Joe could not be in better hands. I had a feeling that you would be saying that joe is staying with you. He could not go anywhere better. xxxxx

I think Daybreaks has only about a dozen people who re-home, it just looks like a lot because we 12 keep adding another one grey to our pack lol!!!!!!!!!!!! We have MULTIPLE GREY SYNDROME (well at least its a good addiction!)

Someone could make a lovely older girl so happy (no not Ruth, but she would be happy to!!!) by giving this sweet girl a home. Please don't overlook her any longer, my Dylan would love her but he is henpecked by 2 big girls already!!! A man can only take so much! x

Dear Ruth and Rob just seen the bad news which I suppose we expected but hoped we were wrong. Joe is blessed to have found his way to you both. Its not the length of a life sometimes that counts, but the width. And I know that Joe will have all the love and care to make his very wide in however long he has left. God Bless you and your sweet boy xxx

I have been reading about Joe and just want to say that it is such a sad situation for him, he does look a lovely greyhound. At least he is being looked after now but also such a shame that he cannot be rehomed, it is upsetting to read when any animal is poorly. Sending best wishes. Alison, Richard, Rose and James

Thank you Ruth and Robbie for looking after Toby's little brother, i am reading this with tears in my eyes as i feel it's not fair sometimes that these beautiful dogs just don't get a proper life and then when they can get a chance by coming to Daybreaks something like this happens. Jojo as i call him will have the best ever time of his life in your care surrounded by all your wonderful greys. you both are an inspiration. Ina xxxx

Our vet spoke to a neurologist today at Willows and discussed the video footage we had shown him, as well as his thyroid levels, his lump in his throat and behaviour etc. The neurologist confirmed also what we have already been told that we can only be dealing with a brain tumour (which is probably a secondary to the lump in his throat). This could only be confirmed by an MRI scan which would cost nearly £2000 which the Trust cannot afford however both the specialist and our vet say there is no doubt what we are dealing with so an MRI would be a waste of time and money. We cannot let this boy just slip away yet so Rob and I have decided to keep him - he is no trouble at our house and we will know when the time is right....... we didn't want to get too attached to him knowing what we could be facing, but equally we couldn't turn our backs on him either.

I went to Emma's house with Evie and Mark at the weekend and it was soooooo nice to see Moomin all happy and relaxed in her new home with her cousin and aunty. I love her new pink collar. I do feel sad still, but I guess that will pass over time. She is so beautiful and she is lucky to have found Emma and her family. See you soon Moo xxx
