    I’m Homed

Suggs as he is now called, came home yesterday and is well and truly at home. After all the introductions were over within 45 minutes he was sound asleep on the sofa, i know he is a laid back lad but i was amazed at how he has slotted in its as though he has always been here, nothing has fazed him and we love him already as do his fellow hounds Connie, Emma & Tom, emma's his playmate, toms gonna be his mate, and Connie has a twinkle in her tail i think she thinks he's handsome too. Early days i know but your gut feelings say it all and this boy is home.

    I’m Homed

Thought I had better give you an update on Sidney, well he has settled in very nicely, and the cats love him, in fact fudge our ginger cat has even taken to sleeping with Sidney in his bed sometimes, he also comes out for a walk when we take Sidney. So needless to say he has settled in very nicely. He is such a loveable boy. Also he likes his food A LOT and is always on the scrounge for more. Ruth it's a pity we missed you the other weekend when we came up, I think you would have noticed a difference in him, we will try and get up again soon. Will you be going to Sutton Park on Sunday for the walk?

    I’m Homed

Daisy truly is a star. She was fine in the car and is absolutely brilliant with the kids. The cat gave her a bash when we first came in so when she is in the house Daisy wears her muzzle but she is quite happy to retreat to her bed and keep out of the way. Tomorrow the cat learns that I'm the boss!!! After standing in the garden with her for the first few visits she has been to the door 3 times to go out herself, though I am soaked cos I accompanied her anyway. We have had two walks and she is now snoring so I am going to attempt to creep to bed. Happy days.x

  • Sonny (Frank)

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

Sonny frightened the life out of us on Sunday night, he lay down and couldnt get back up again ? he went for his normal walks, eaten well, all seemed fine, nothing out of the ordinary happened during the day, but he was completely out of it at 6pm, it was as if he fainted ? when he came too he couldnt get up but eventually managed too, but couldnt put any weight on his right leg, then he tried to walk and dragged his paw on the floor, before flopping back down again, his leg felt really cold, but the heating was on in the house. After a very worrying night the next morning he was perky again and just had a slight limp in the right leg, the vet has cheked him all over and said no sore spots or nothing obvious going on ? everything seems fine, and it may have been a blood clot ? or some kind of acute bone pain ? and if it happens again to take him straight back, he is on Metacam pain killer and today he is absolutely fine as if nothing happened ? Has any one else had anything like this happen, we are worried sick its going to happen again and it was so awful to see him like this.
