Well we have passed the home vetting (not that I thought we wouldn't) so getting Dreamie home to us is getting closer. If she passes the cat test she can come home on Friday with us. I cannot wait. I'm so excited.

    I’m Homed

Hi Ruth We liked Silky today- well actually my husband wanted to have Jasper away from your colleague!! Silky seemed quite reserved but we did get a few wags around our spaniel and he did like me talking in a squeaky voice. I'm hoping that in a home environment we might get to see a bit of his personality, as he's not very responsive at the moment to anything. It is so hard to tell but if he is still with you we'd like to come back and see him again early next week. I would also like to say that yours is the cleanest rescue kennel I've ever seen and it was lovely to see how much care the dogs are obviously receiving. Sam

chelseas first week has been really positive, she has slept well at night, shes eating good, she enjoys her walks she is going on her first trip to cannon hill today and she is getting quite playfull and pleased to see us when we come downstairs in the morning ,she likes to have a little play with the newspaper and gently nibbles the edge of it which is quite funny ,she is also lying on her bed more and she seems to be preffering it to the sofa which cant be bad x

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

Well, Poppy as she is now called has been with us for a week now and she is so lovely, not a single poo/wee in the house she has toileted outside from the time we arrived home ! She gets on so well with Sonny no bad words just a few grumbles when they are outside playing but it seems more like playfull banter ! She is a bit of a magician she makes food magically disapear from everywhwere especially my dinner plate..... little monkey. Poppy is going to take a lot longer to be comfortable in the company of the cat and vice versa as she is a lot keener than Sonny was but we are working on it and hopefully one day they will all snuggle up together. well they got through the first night ok together - no growling, howling or barking. Max is learning fast that Maj is, and always will be, the boss! He seems pretty laid back though and he loves his food. Such a gent!

saw Edith today when we where at the kennels, she is sooooooo lovely. My poor husband got really worried the way I was looking at her and reminded me we have 3 already, and Cara (formally PEARL) has told me she doesnt want another girl in the family (I think Dylan could do with another fella to help him out! but lets not go there) Some one please give Edith a forever home, she is so sweet and needs a forever home xxx

  • Alfie

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

We've had Alfie, oh what, a month and a bit now? It's like he's always been here! He's settled in very very well and has become a lively big boy, not quite a docile as when he was at the kennels! But I love it, he's perfect for me haha. He gets pleanty of big walks and I usually take him down a secure pathway and let him run alongside me, seeing as he doesnt bother to run when i let him off. I've started to try and teach him recall and he was getting pretty good at it! Then we didn't do it for a few days and he forgot, oh well! Everyone we meet loves him and we get a lot of stares when I pop up to Tesco to buy something, popular boy. He is SO nosey and wants to say hello to everyone and everything. He's good with other breeds but we still watch him carefully as we don't want to take any chances just yet! Can't wait to take him to the fields and let him run free one day, he's already proved to me how fast he can run!!! I love him to pieces and when he looks at me with those big brown eyes its hard to resist giving him a kiss and a cuddle. He still loves jumping up and putting his huge paws on your chest when you walk in, but he doesn't do it as much now. He's HUGE! haha. Thank you to everyone at the kennels and my mum and I are hoping to bring him up in half term and walk those looking for homes again. I've missed being up there! xxxx
