An early start for Ruth this morning. She picked Dizzy up from his home to drop him off at the vets for his neutering op. 🙂 Later on this afternoon she collected him from the vets and took him back to his lovely Mum. :)) Xxx We had several visitors for nail clipping including the very gorgeous Bocko and Prince! So lovely to see them. They both looked great. Their owner said how well they get on together and how much Prince has helped Bocko to be more relaxed. :)) We also saw the very handsome Loki (Eagle) His confidence has grown so much since we last saw him. :)) Xxx Yvonne and I took the dogs in the sand run for either a stroll for those recovering from injuries or a run around for Nidge, Belle and Samson. 🙂 It was almost Spring like today....Xxx

Thinking of Andy's lovely family at this very sad time. Lots of love to Gracie who is missing her best friend. Xxx Andy was a super lad. We all adored him when he was with us at Daybreaks and so happy for him when he finally found his wonderful forever home. You must have so many great memories of him. God Bless you Andy Bandit. Xxx

Was so wonderful this afternoon, jet, mia and I were at the park and 2 little girls came over, one who we know as jet is friends with her dog so we were chatting but her friend is petrified of dogs. Anyway the girl we know asked if she could hold jet and was fussing him. Her friend clearly very frightened watching on...within 5 mins the frightened one had his lead and they were running up and down, she was in love! I was so pleased as jet, the gentle giant was an absolute star and so wonderful with her, he gave her the confidence she needed and she was so happy with him all her fears disappeared! Proper flying through flag for the greyhounds! Love my boy so much xxx

I’m utterly heartbroken to say that another handsome hound has gained his wings. Andy came to us as a foster, and having fostered before, wasn’t expecting him to be any different, short stay with us, and then off to a new home. He had other ideas, worked his magic on us & hence we joined the failed foster club 7 years ago. He always took every thing in his stride, he really was a gentle giant, but knew how to get up to mischief along with the others! His trainer was right, he was a fusspot, full of life and would eat treats all day long given the chance. Needless to say his partner in crime, Gracie, is very quiet today. Recently, aged 12, he has had some on going health issues, but being an old man, we expected that. Unfortunately, in the early hours of today, it became obvious that it was time. In current times, we were so fortunate that the vets allowed us to stay with him. Andy, you have left a huge hole in our hearts, and we miss you terribly. Go and find Norris and run pain free.

Daybreaks Diary!

It was a busy day today, despite there not being too much in the diary. Just myself and Dave until the afternoon. Two homings, Sarah now Mayah who has two very handsome boys for brothers in Morgan and Grayson. Sam was the second to be signed up, he went home with a fab colour coordinated wardrobe!!! Lots of visitors for the sand run, food and of course Lornas papers. A lovely affectionate New arrival, Beaut, she is so very cute, I think her stay with us will be a short one! That yellow thing in the sky decided to come out, it was lovely to see it again even if it was still quite chilly. Thanks to Liz_Beth for coming in this afternoon, she took Alex to the park, he was very lively and more than interested in the other dogs. She then stayed to do afternoon walks with Dave with the remaining inmates. Stay safe and well as always everyone. X
