  • Jim

    I’m Homed

Well Jim has come right out of his shell at home, he was a little stoic at the kennels, on guard and taking everything in. It turns out when you get him into a home he melts into the most affection loving and inquisitive soul! He seems good on walks, just a little excitable when he sees the other dogs off lead. He also seems to be almost grasping the concept of house training already, he knows to go to the back door but has had one little accident over night. Overall he’s a lovely protecting brother who is secretly a little softie! Fingers crossed for cat introductions later xxxx

    I’m Homed

Well as we all probably expected, Rosie has been an absolute angel since we picked her up. She is the most loving and naturally well behaved girl in the house! She’s a little bit timid when she has to decide what she wants to do for herself but so far it’s coming down to either fuss or snuggling up with Jim in bed, fingers crossed for cat introductions later on xxxx

  • Wendy

    I’m Homed

During these difficult times I thought it good to give a further update on Wendy. She is now such a confident and happy dog, always 'smiling' and absolutely adores her 'sister' Jinky! She is a real joy and brings much happiness day by day. It is hard to believe that she ran some 80 odd races, particularly when you see her curled up on the bed for the most of the day. Someone was definitely looking over both myself and Jinky on the day that we decided to adopt her. I do hope that Ruth and all the staff at daybreaks are able to continue to give these wonderful dogs a most loving home.

    I’m Homed

I’d just like to point out that it was Rosie-4-legs who was bitten by her brother Jim, and Rosie-2-legs (ie me) who did Jane’s rehoming. And not the other way round :)))

  • Daybreaks Diary!

    I’m Homed

Wow is all I can say.... I am shattered. After cleaning, Sam arrived with his foster parents for the first of three viewings booked. The first viewing of the day - a lovely family with their miniature schnauzer called Luna. It wasn’t long before the very gorgeous Jane was reserved and they were all set to start the adoption paperwork when my Tiggy panicked with Luna coming into the office and caught her face. To say I was horrified was an understatement and they went st was next to be chosen then raight off to the vets. Luckily only antibiotics were needed. Sorry Luna. Jolly, now called Coffee, was next to be chosen. Jess had a trip to the vets with poor Rosie who had been bitten by her Brother yesterday as it needed stapling. As Jess arrived back we had a viewing for both Rosie and Jim and off they went to foster! Kate did Slipper’s homing whilst Jess was then off again to the vets with Socks one of our resident cats! Jess you are amazing! I roped Andy into helping so as he fed our remaining residents Alex, Dizzy and Hollie whilst Rosie did Jane's rehoming and I dealt with a bleeding dew claw from poor Gold after his go in the sand run. He got weighed and nails clipped and is looking fantastic. The sand run was booked out all day too! An absolutely shattering but fantastic day - and Tiggy says sorry again to Luna x

Ah glad to see your fostered sign cora and tbh, it was very nearly with us...you've caused some discussion in the edwards-bradley household this week and you've been playing on my mind since I saw you, with you been from jet's line and currently disabled (you know I'm a sucker for animals that need extra care!). Hope all goes well sweet girl xxx
