I’m Homed
Our eight new boys and girls arrived this evening around 5pm. :)) They had started their journey from Ireland at the weekend. A lovely gentleman delivered them to us. It was lovely to meet each one as they came off the van. They all had a stroll around the sand run to stretch their legs and have a much needed wee! 🙂 As it was getting quite late they all had dinner and were allocated a nice warm kennel. Xxx Lots of bathings to be carried out tomorrow! All paperwork was sorted and they were tucked up for the night. Ruth took a lovely video of them all before we left. Xxx Thanks so much to Shirley, Richard, Lucy and Jayne for all their help today. Xxx Have just checked the cameras and they all seem settled. Bless :)) Xxx

Peaky came home with me last night. Bless him, he is being a perfect house guest! Totally clean in the house, ate his dinner nicely (did try to eat Tiggers too!) and enjoyed lots of fuss. He played ‘let’s run up and down the stairs’ with Tiggy before crashing out on his bed for the evening. He came upstairs and slept all the the night.... he is just so adorable and loving- he might just keep coming home with me until he finds his new home x Lucy has added some stunning new photos of him... he his heart melting x

Daybreaks Diary!

At last it was warmer today! Yippee! :)) Peaky, Dizzy and Ice spent some time out In the small runs and enjoyed the sunshine. Our cats, Socks and Tyke also enjoyed the sun and sat in their outside run. Come on Spring!! :))))) Brilliant to see Dizzy and Ice go home today. Wishing them both very happy lives with their new families. Xxx No doggies in the kennels tonight! After Dizzy and Ice went off to their respective new homes there was only Peaky left, so he went home with Ruth! :)) Our new arrivals are not expected to be with us until late tomorrow afternoon. We are all really looking forward to meeting them! :)) Xxx

Peaky enjoyed being at the kennels today. He had a lovely long walk in the park with Liz this morning, then spent a while in one of the runs where the sun came out and it was actually quite warm! Later this afternoon he wandered around the kennels with Tiggy, Momma, Skip and Lyra. :)) He is a lovely lad. Xxx

Over the Rainbow Bridge
Peaky came for a walk with me today to Elmdon Park. First of all though, I had to get him leaded up. After receiving a hug from him on entering his kennel and having done a few 360s trying to get his coat, lead and muzzle on him, we were ready to go. He maintains a good pace and likes being out front. I don't think he is quite so keen on all the mud at the moment though! It is pretty boggy around the nature reserve and on several occasions we got half way across the mud/ lying water only for him to decide he wasn't too keen it!! A little bit of coaxing and we were in our way again. He is a very handsome boy and I don't think he wanted to ruin his good looks with muddy paws!! We walked for over an hour and he met lots of other dogs and showed very little interest in most of them. He certainly attracted a few admirers with his stunning looks and stood calmly for some fuss. Here's hoping he doesn't have to wait long for his forever home xx
