Lucy
I’m Homed
Very sadly Lucy has come back to the kennels today. Unfortunately she and the family's young daughter have not been doing so well together. Her family are distraught to have to return her, but feel they need to wait until their daughter is a little older to understand dogs. Lucy would be better suited to a family with older children as she is not always happy to be around smaller people! Her family say she is a fabulous girl and hope she finds the perfect home, they are so sad it can't be with them. So sorry for everyone it didn't work out this time. Xxx

Daybreaks Diary!
I’m Homed
What a lovely Autumn day that was. After a bit of a chilly start the sunshine was absolutely beautiful - meaning we had lovely morning & afternoon walks down the lane. Having said that it was a bit like Winnie the Pooh & the Blustery Day as we were blown up and down the lane, with the wind whooshing through the trees and leaves swirling everywhere!! It didn't bother the boys & girls though - Vic and his amazing ears were on high alert throughout both walks as he explored every inch of his new surroundings! He is a lovely boy, a bit strong on the lead at the moment, but then everything is new & exciting for him. It was lovely to see Ruth today, and the gorgeous Molly and Queeny who had spent the night with her. Molly is such a sweetheart, and she does the cute teeth chattering thing - but goodness me it is loud!! Queeny is a very friendly girl, and has gone out to a foster home this afternoon - here's hoping she is a good girl and gets her paws under the table!! Little Bessie Boo went off to her new home at lunchtime, wishing her and her new Mum & Dad many happy times ahead. I will miss her beautiful grey face. x With the change in the weather and the nights starting to get a bit chilly now, this morning I sorted through the fleece coats we use for the kennel dogs and did some loads of washing to freshen them up after a summer in storage! The lovely sunshine and stiff breeze meant they all dried beautifully and are now ready to keep our boys & girls snuggly overnight. I did try to sweep the leaves but it was a bit of a thankless task - every time I got a nice neat pile of leaves together, the wind blew and scattered them all over the place again, so in the end I gave up!! Well the weekend is here again, and with a viewing booked, keep your fingers crossed for our remaining residents! I will be raising a nice glass of red wine later in the hopes of a red or green sign or two come Monday morning! Whatever you are up to this weekend, stay safe. Cheers! Angie xx

Molly
I’m Homed
Molly was much brighter today, she had a very waggy tail when we arrived this morning and was happy to come out of her kennel for her breaksfast. She got very excited and her teeth started to chatter! She is a delightful young lady. She has gone home with Ruth tonight. Xxx

Gold
I’m Homed
Gold went off to the vets for his neutering operation this morning. He was such a good boy in the car. He was very wobbly when Richard and I collected him this afternoon. His front legs walked one way and his back legs another! He enjoyed his dinner when he got back to the kennels and we left him snuggled in a fleecy coat. Hopefully he will feel better tomorrow. Xxx

Over the Rainbow Bridge
Hey everyone! Last Saturday we went to Burnham-On-Sea! It was fantastic, the hoomans brought this mini house thing. I think it’s called a static caravan. They brought it so I could come with them everytime they go now as they go down a lot! I couldn’t go before as I was bad with cats... personally I think I’m great with them I love them and want to chase them but the hoomans said that’s a bad thing. Anyway after we brought the caravan we took a walk in the town. I was desperate to go on this giant sand run but dogs weren’t allowed apparently! I sulked all the way home! There is a picture of me on the Facebook group desperately trying to go up the steps! My hoomans told me not to worry as we will have a private bit of the beach I can go on when we get our caravan! YAY! Lubs to all, Russ Xx

Oh my baby girl this is such lovely news. You really aren't a happy girl in a kennel environment - but as a little Princess you really should be enjoying lots of fuss and pampering on a comfy sofa!! Hope all goes well for you gorgeous, will miss you but glad for you too. xxx
