Happy 6th Birthday to our lad Cracker! Xxx Xxx We were hoping for some sunshine today to go out for a nice walk....but storm Babet gate crashed our fun! :)) However, there are Egg Custards waiting in the fridge for Cracker, Lyra and Skip! I am sure they will more than make up for the rainy day! :)) Lots of love to you today and always our lovely boy. Xxx

So sorry for your loss Ruth and Trevor. Misty left us too soon, but she wont be alone at Rainbow bridge, Shelby will be waiting for her and they can play together forever. Tears in my eyes as I write this. God bless Misty.

Monty is a very strong and exuberant walker, as I found out today as he took me around Elmdon Park!!! To be fair he did slow down after the first 7000 steps !!! He's a very friendly lad with a lovely nature. He met other breeds of all sizes without any show of aggression although at close quarters there was an element of curiosity but I'm sure in time he will relax more around other breeds I think he will be best suited to an active house who are prepared for an energetic dog

Over the Rainbow Bridge
We received a call from Misty’s family to let us know they have had to let their beloved girl go to Rainbow Bridge. Xxx They are heartbroken and they miss her so much. Xxx She has left them with lots of happy memories and they say even at the age of 10 she still enjoyed her mad five minutes racing around the garden and stealing donuts from the shopping bags! God Bless your lovely Misty. Thinking of you all Xxx

Larry is eating better. He's been out on walks with his harness and muzzle. Seen squirrels and smaller dogs, two cyclists and a jogger and was fine. Growled at a bigger dog but that was more nerves than anything she did try to sniff his bum lol. Met two of Pip's besties one of which is the loveliest softest German Shepherd who didn't realise till he got up close that it wasn't her which was sad. Still not eating fully properly but getting there. Was roaching in this donut bed earlier. Still early days but he's getting there xx

Daybreaks Diary!

It certainly felt more like Autumn today, can't believe we are already half way through October! It won't be long until Santa is here to visit us again! Xxx We were a little short of volunteers for walking this morning, so our residents had a short stroll around the sand run followed by play time in the runs. Xxx Thanks to Diane and our young DofE volunteers. Our gorgeous lad, Larry went home with his fab new Mum. :)) It was the first time I had met Larry today. He is very small for a boy, weighing just over 26Kg. He is a happy chap, he loves to lean and have lots of cuddles. Xxx Wishing him a very happy new life? :)) We had a delivery of goodies from Iceland today! Thank you so very much to Phil, Rio and Ella's Dad and his work colleagues for arranging this for us...we received lots food and treats for the dogs, cleaning products and biscuits, tea, coffee and sugar for everyone to enjoy. Our residents enjoyed hotdogs for lunch today! We are so grateful for everything, you are all so kind. Xxx xxx This afternoon, everyone enjoyed a walk, thanks so much to Jan, Jayne and Jess. Xxx Jess took Bess and Jess which got very confusing! :)) Erik came in today for one of his free behavioural consultation sessions. There will be another one next month...if you are having a problem with your Greyhound, please give us a call and we can arrange for you to have a chat with Erik. Xxx Our boys and girls were tucked up in nice warm Fleeces before we left tonight. :)) We have some really lovely dogs with us at the moment. If you think you can offer one of them their forever home, please give us a call and arrange to come and meet them! Xxx

Larry's so far been a good lad not eaten much yet doesn't appear too stressed but early days. Seen small dogs and a cat was fine muzzled obvs. Thank you for being so kind to us both today xx
